Yeah, nope. They were edited by the YouTube user YourFavorateMusic, who has since closed his account or had it closed.Nope. They were recreated using film stems.I found a version of this soundtrack online that contained several alternate versions of "No Time For Caution", as well as two additional suites, supposedly titled "Endurance Suite 1" and "Endurance Suite 2". I've listened to both and they both seem legit, but are they a part of this complete score?truly amazing score! zanelli shows here that he mastered the DNA of the pirates music. would love to see him talk about this series, what makes its music so unique & recognizable, etc.<br><br>i think what's happening is that there are far too many characters, each with their own themes, to focus & develop any one in particular. salazar is the exception, in both the movie and the music. his intriguing character is the reason i watched the movie. and his theme kept coming into my head months after the movie.<br><br>but yea there are too many stories being unpacked onto the viewer in just a few hours in the latest pirates. but zanelli did a great job all the same.Balfe is the best composer since Powell from the Zimmer training<br>After hearing what Lorne Balfe did for Mission Impossible it would be great to hear what he would do with the James Bond theme.<br>
Ok.But still it would be awesome if Djawadi is composing The EternalsWell, unless you have a source, or can point to a credible publication reporting Romer is not scoring it, I think it is safe to assume (for now) that the composer announced and still listed on the official website as the composer for the film is in-fact the composer for the film..<br><br>He wouldn't be my personal choice for the job, but I am not going to ignorantly pretend that he isn't currently the hired composer.I was at the concert yesterday in Denmark, words can't describe what i felt, it's something that has to be experienced in person, truly amazing.<br><br>Music is one thing, but the lights and video along the show was awsome, that can't be described, you have to be there.<br><br>I hope for a bluray version of a concert, I will gladly be the first to buy it.Jackman has always been my favorite of his "generation" of RC composers (in which I also include Balfe, Djawadi, ÷rvarsson, Margeson and Streitenfeld - the ones who broke out about a decade ago). I think he's the best orchestral writer other than Powell and I always appreciate the clean, organic sound of his scores - like with Powell's scores, Jackman's orchestra always sounds real and clearly distinct from the electronics, unlike Balfe and Zimmer himself who use samples a lot more and blur things in the middle. That's true even of scores of his I don't like, such as Winter Soldier.<br><br>I do wish he'd stop stripping the electronics off of tracks for his album releases though. That seems like a strange way to address the criticisms he got for Winter Soldier - kind of missing the point.
Any plans for a concert in Denmark (Boxen, Herning) ?I like this score!!!<br><br>Henry is very good in my opinion. I always liked his scores even when others didn't.<br><br>And I'm really excited for Jumanji: The Next Level!!!Neither Romer or Balfe are scoring Bond 25I want to say that test screening version of Ghost in the Shell deleted one geisha character who was under orders of Cutter to follow the Major and in the original third act, she fought Aramaki when he stormed into Cutter's Holo room after killing his guards. Aramaki survives and the scene continues as shown. Because of the poor reception of what I call "The Philosophical Cut", the geisha character was removed and there were quick reshoots of all of the conversations between Cutter and Aramaki minus the geisha character involvement. The report about Romer leaving wasn't even confirmed, so I think it's just people wanting the expected to happen at this point.
lol no heís notLast week, the IMDb page said Joseph Trapanese is scoring it and next week some other composer will probably be listed there. Amazing that some people still think of IMDb as a reliable source for this kind of info.More Cannons!, 2:14 - Jack Sparrow theme from PotC?Ramin Djawadi will compose The EternalsWell, "No Time To Die" (Bond 25) is being scored by Dan Romer. So, No; he is not scoring it.

It's criminal that Mr Charles, Strategy, and It's a Trap weren't included on the OST. I guess we did get It's a Trap as a bonus track, but it wasn't the film version.

Mr Tweedy2018-08-20 11:58:05
I agree. Though the album selection is pretty solid, those tracks you mentioned are definitely missing!

Mike2018-08-21 00:43:28
"Thief & A Forger" and "An Idea is Like a Virus" are two other good cues. The latter is a powerful rendition of the Time theme.

GermanRCPFan2019-08-14 13:09:46
All the score is a masterpiece and they had to include all tracks in OST.

Frank reply Replies: 2 || 2019-06-28 09:54:46
This says it's an unofficial release but it's hosted on YouTube, over 2 hours long. Is there a physical copy of this to purchase anywhere in 2019?

badbu 2019-06-28 10:30:45
Nope. You never will get a official cd release from a complete score

Dawn2019-06-28 18:54:20
Well, some recordings are circulating among fans. They somehow "leaked" out of the studio.
There's no regular CD of it, only sound files. Some people might burn it on CD and claim it exists. But until a record company actually releases it, you won't find it in stores.

Is the 10-and-a-half-minute "Time" suite from the iPhone app official? It's got some Mr Charles elements throughout. Beautiful stuff.

Mike2015-07-10 16:43:49
Official or not, it's really pretty.

Mike2015-07-10 16:55:39
There is also an almost-7-minute long track using the "Radical Notion" album track theme, and the beginning sounds a lot like the Batman v. Superman teaser.

I think this tracklist may have to be updated! :)

bro2015-07-11 02:11:15
They weren't released with the soundtrack or included in the film, but the tracks were still composed by Hans Zimmer, and mixed by Alan Myerson, and mastered by RCP.

Anonymous2015-08-07 19:59:31
the above mentioned tracks are real?

Yes, they're real. I'm not sure why they're not listed here.

Regarding. Mr Charles , I think Balfe wrote that

Mike (OTM)2017-11-05 22:10:51
Well, he was certainly involved with it, since it uses the Fischer theme a lot. Actually, the first couple minutes are a variation on a longer Time Suite from the Inception app, which I believe is just Zimmer. But I don't know.

Yeah, a demo version I think...

Question for the great and all-knowing Hybrid Soldier lol. You said on the Kung Fu Panda page that Lorne made suites of some of Hans' themes for this score. Do you know what those suites are? Like we know that Time and Mal Suite = Zimmer alone, so what were the suites Lorne did based off Hans Zimmer's ideas?

Hybrid Soldier2016-07-14 10:32:07
Actually I was speaking in general.

But on this score I was thinking about Kick-It... I think all the others are Hans.

Mike2016-07-14 16:41:19
"Actually I was speaking in general..."

That's a tad surprising. With the exception of POTC 3 and maybe Man of Steel, it seems like most of the suites on a given Zimmer score will be Zimmer himself. Do you have any other examples besides Inception and POTC 3 where Lorne did suites like this?

Mike2016-07-14 16:46:12
Well, POTC 3 and 2, but it seems the suites from #2 haven't seen the light of day.

Adam2015-03-31 01:34:35
I really don't think they would've put a 12-minute track on the OST Mike. That rarely happens anymore. We got luck with Angels & Demons!

Mike2015-03-31 15:51:32
After getting a 28-minute suite on Man of Steel, I consider nothing impossible anymore. :P But tons of Hans' moderately long suites that frequently appear on album beg to differ as it is, no?

Hybrid Soldier2015-01-15 11:13:44
I don't think so, from what I've been told, but I'll never have concrete proof of that... :)

Mike2015-01-24 18:44:16
I also see that Mombasa Suite is no longer credited...Is that just because there's nothing "official" to go by? And then also, was a suite written for the Fischer theme?

Anonymous2015-02-23 23:36:37
can we safely say zimmer wrote the saito theme (ya know, the super-low string theme daaaaaa DWAAAAAAAA....lol) since it was in the hans zimmer revealed concert?

Adam2015-02-23 23:48:51
Hey Anonymous, can you be more specific please? I've never been good at distinguishing themes and I'd like to know what your interpretation of Saito's theme is. Thanks!

Anonymous2015-02-23 23:54:15
if you're just listening off the soundtrack album listen to the second half of "paradox"...it's in there...it also plays at the beginning of the movie when it shows the old man saito...and it also plays when saito is lying wounded on the table, and when he throws the grenade down the ventilation shaft in the snowy dream level :P

Is "Kick it" actually written by Lorne Balfe or is it an arrangement of a source cue by Hans?

hmmokey2014-08-22 01:32:32
both composed this track ''Kick it Suite''

LBC2014-08-22 16:09:37
I think it's just Lorne

Mike2014-08-22 18:01:15
As far as I know it's just Lorne, but I've often wondered if Hans at least wrote the basic cue, since it's used so often in this score.

Mike2014-08-22 18:50:23
As an interesting side note, IMHO Kick It is the best theme in the score (maybe after the Time suite). So kudos to Lorne, Hans, or both for coming up with it.

Anonymous2014-11-25 22:31:04
Kick It has to have been at least BASICALLY written by Hans first and then turned into a suite by Mr Balfe/arranged by him for the film later...because even in the making-of video with Zimmer that theme is used a lot...

Edmund Meinerts2014-02-18 13:40:08
Seems to me like he threw a temper tantrum and took them down...check the thread below this one. Don't ask me why... :|

RealFfingMusic2014-02-20 08:50:13
OH, COME ON!!!

Who did what here?

Mike2014-02-20 14:13:03
Lorne Balfe did all the cues, Hans Zimmer did the F Riff suite (Dream Is Collapsing), Mal Dark suite (Old Souls), Time suite (Time), and Mombasa suite (Mombasa), and Lorne Balfe did the Kick It suite (One Simple Idea, albeit extended).

Some cues are just Lorne's music, most cues are Hans and Lorne, and a couple (like Mombasa Chase and Welcome Home, Mr Cobb) are essentially just Hans.

Mike2014-02-20 14:13:45
Oh, and Lorne did the Robert Fischer and Saito themes, too.

RealFfingMusic2014-02-20 22:13:30
Thanx Mike.

Hybrid can be such a teenager!

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-20 22:32:05
No, Mike is just doing an analysis of MY analysis which wasn't based on facts.

In other words, it's all wind !

Mike2014-02-20 23:29:11
Fair enough, Hybrid. :)

Edmund Meinerts2014-02-20 23:49:52
Still doesn't explain why you took down the credits, though. That was immature.

Mike2014-02-21 00:18:48
He gave his reasoning. It "causes melodrama". I wouldn't call it melodrama, for me at least, but hey, his words. It IS mentioned a lot on this page.

Areozz2014-02-21 00:24:20
Here's my take: taking the credits away has caused melodrama. What was going on before was more like useless, petty theorizing and guessing over a topic that really isn't that vital.

Who the hell cares if a track was 35% Lorne, 25% Zimmer, and 40% some other dude??? Are you going to tag your tracks like that? Why is it so important to know exactly and precisely who did what down to a minute-by-minute level analysis?

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-21 08:24:13
I removed them, Ed, because it's based on my experience, and not on facts or any cue sheet... ;)

Edmund Meinerts2014-02-21 10:12:30
Thanks for clearing that up, Hybrid. Makes sense now. :)

Areozz, I agree that some people are getting way too concerned over details. I'm someone who does take a bit of comfort in knowing exactly who is responsible for the music I like, but on the other hand I don't wear myself out puzzling out the exact percentages or anything... :p

RealFfingMusic2014-02-21 11:19:11
Fair point, well made, Mr. Meinerts.

RealFfingMusic2014-02-21 11:22:17
And Areozz. Sorry. :)

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-21 12:01:20
I'll give an example, to show you how tricky it can be...

Blackbeard from POTC 4.

Technically the cue is Matt Margeson... But he just orchestrated / edited / arranged it... It was Hans' original suite (which, btw, was never recorded...) directly used as the cue. So Matt did work & handle it, but the cue remains HZ's music in the end...

Cool Thx.

Anonymous2014-02-21 18:42:04
"Who the hell cares if a track was 35% Lorne, 25% Zimmer, and 40% some other dude??? Are you going to tag your tracks like that? Why is it so important to know exactly and precisely who did what down to a minute-by-minute level analysis?"

Totally agreed. I use whatever name is on the film or CD cover. As we all know, its usually just Hans Zimmer. So stick him in the tags and be done.

MacArthur2014-02-21 20:23:47
Here here. Well said

Anonymous2014-02-22 00:14:06
saying blackbeard was never recorded you mean never recorded with real instruments right? or do you mean hans just hummed the main tune and matthew margeson did the rest? sorry if that's a dumb question. :P

bro2014-02-22 05:27:12
To keep it simple: You can create realistic sounding demos using software that handles orchestral sample libraries.

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-22 08:46:23
Yeah of course I mean with no "real" instruments... He wrote it with samples, a long suite only half used in the movie...

Mike2014-02-22 18:45:36
I'd love to hear the rest of that!

NM2014-02-23 16:41:30
That's pretty cool Hybrid. Do you have any idea why they decided not to record it. The album presentation of 'Blackbeard' is crap.

RealFfingMusic2014-02-24 05:59:43
Which suite is that?

And who did the cues for "Mombassa Chase" and "Fisher and Son"?

RealFfingMusic2014-02-24 06:03:32
I am asking about "Mombassa Chase" again cuz Mike said above Mombassa is LB but Chase is Hans. So I'm confused.

And it's "Fischer and Son". Sorry :)

Mike2014-02-24 14:12:32
You're right, Mombasa Chase is Hansóit's lifted directly out of Hans' Mombasa suite pretty muchóbut if it is Lorne Balfe, it just means he arranged it for the scene. It doesn't have to mean it was *his* music or that he even did anything considerable to it. But Mombasa Chase may be just Hans for all we know. I'd stick with saying it's Lorne's arrangement for now, personally, but hey.... lol

E Tragic Strings Suite (1:38)....is that a new addition to the tracklist? I don't recall seeing that there before...

thejok3rrules2014-02-19 04:55:47
It is a new addition...

Anonymous2014-02-20 03:27:30
Wonder what theme it is....

Areozz2014-02-20 04:40:15
We can't be missing out on much considering that it's less than two minutes long. It's just another little thing Hybrid decided to add on top of removing the credits. I don't mean to sound rude, but sometimes he can be a selfish little bitch. An action that he might feel will make him the hero or make him special is more likely to make him look like an asshole.

I expect the new track to be something along the lines of the middle part of "Waiting for a Train" from the OST, which can also be found in the Reverie and Sleep Dreams from the Dream App. I wouldn't fret over it too much.

SanAntonioSpurs2014-02-20 18:24:22
this suite (Tragic Strings Suite) - track Saito Fate ?

Anonymous reply Replies: 15 || 2014-02-15 15:57:38
I was watching the movie today and listening to the music on a scene-by-scene basis.....it's amazing how much Lorne Balfe did on this score. It's really good music, too. Does he ever feel disappointed that he isn't properly credited?

MacArthur2014-02-15 17:54:56
What the heck is the download Arrow for?

thejok3rrules2014-02-15 20:47:46
It looks better with it.

MacArthur2014-02-16 01:28:56
Ok Cause I was wondering why the heck you have the download arrow when you can't download the track. or at least I couldn't

Mike2014-02-16 21:14:31
Re: the initial post, I have a question here maybe Hybrid can answer....seeing as Lorne Balfe's Kick It theme is used A LOT throughout this movie (I'd call it one of the primary themes), was it Hans who decided he wanted that theme used so much (even though he didn't write it) or did the director like it a lot and want them to use it?

Anonymous2014-02-16 22:13:37
hybrid where do you get crediting info from? or are you not allowed to say? :P

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-17 00:00:07
Since all this has become such an important melodrama around here, I just removed the credits...

Hope it eases your minds !

Edmund Meinerts2014-02-17 12:08:57
Huh? What? Why would you do that, Hybrid?

Anonymous2014-02-17 15:09:00
Read this quote from a Lorne Balfe interview to the end, everybody, then tell me: is it really SO shocking that judging by his description of things, he'd end up writing a good deal of the score (he's talking about Inception an Sherlock Holmes below)?

ďThereís lots of producers I know where they donít really do much. They just come in and listen to something and then make one changeóturn the cowbell up and then everyone else does the work. Itís totally different with me; itís really a case of trying to help create a sonic world and figure out the different instruments being used, and also I was doing additional writing on it as well. So itís trying to help create the sonic world. I might have different ideas and it will be put in. I think if you donít [sometimes tell Hans his direction is wrong] you donít create anything interesting, because you might like orange juice and I donít. Or we could discuss why we actually donít like it and use a teaspoon of apple juice and we get a mix. If either of us donít like something, we say it, and that creates a good partnership.Ē

Anonymous2014-02-17 15:10:41
And bear in mind that unlike, say, TDKR where Lorne was basically just Hans' arranger, he was the producer on this film, which, as the interview quote shows, is a much larger role.

Mike2014-02-17 15:16:20
Thanks, Anonymous. Very interesting quote. Hybrid, does Hans have the same role as the producer in Modern Warfare 2's score as Lorne does on some of Hans' scores? Because I've always thought that MW2's score had Zimmer's influence all around.

MacArthur2014-02-17 16:02:41
I'm with you on that one Mike. Also though if that is the case. I still think that on this score Lorne (by his own words) is an Additional Music composer. Not a co-Composer he takes the Ideas that Hans already wrote. and either adds to them or says let's change that around a bit.

But I would be interested on the take of what would be the Mw2 score if that is the case Zimmer was more than just a producer and main theme guy. he should actually be on with additional music if not co-Composer on that score.

Does what i say make sense?

Hybrid Soldier2014-02-17 16:03:00
When Lorne gets an "Additional Music / Music Producer" credit, it's a disguised way to say co-composer (Inception, Frost/Nixon, Sherlock 1 & 2...)

MacArthur2014-02-17 16:14:20
Oh! ok thanks for the info. What about CoDmw2

Mike2014-02-17 16:18:14
Here's the one thing I don't get (don't take this as melodramaóI have no problems with collaboration or anything. I just want opinions). Hans said in some interview once that he likes collaboration because, among other things, it gives the other guys experience, and he said wants people to know "that Lorne Balfe is a good composer", which is part of the reason he always works with him. But wouldn't a better way to get Lorne's name out there be to actually put Lorne's name up there with Hans' on scores where Lorne's work is substantial? Idk, maybe it's not Hans' call, but if he wants Lorne to be known in the composing world, the current way isn't best IMO. Because so many people think that with Inception, all the music you're hearing is Zimmer. And all that does is boost peoples' esteem of Zimmer and keep them in the dark about talents like Lorne Balfe. Most people don't bother looking at more specific credits. ;)

MacArthur2014-02-17 21:48:59
I do see what you are saying Mike. Although with the Inception score Technically Zimmer did write most of it. (aside from the kick it suite. even though that was used most in the film.) The other stuff was written by Zimmer then you have a mix of both for the score. as Lorne said in the interview "Hans would write something and I would add something and we'd decide whether to keep it or throw it away." Although the method to get him in. with the other top people is probably to give him a film he can actually do by himself.
