May Mr. Zimmer and his team be interested on “extracting” music from the human body for medical purposes?<br>You can reach me at:<br>jcp77452 at um.es<br>ThanksNot only is the album fun as a concept album, it's a surprisingly good score to picture. The themes are really clear for each of the characters and the music really fits the action. Even though the action is kind of corny. Real underrated gem. <br><br>I finally watched the film and even though it's a sort of 5 or 6 out of 10 average/okay movie, it reminded me just how much personality gets injected when Hans Zimmer does the score. He really has a strong voice.Yeah this is a pretty fair assessment.<br><br>While I’ve found myself liking it less and less now that we’re hearing things like ME or Alita from Tom there are still some excellent tracks throughout. <br>(The Dark Tower, Collateral Damage, Guardian, It Will Fall, Roland of Eld)<br><br>My biggest gripe is with the purely sound design cues. They honestly go nowhere and end up padding the album out. What this score needed was a solid villain motif and some more orchestral underscore. It’s like one-half of the score is the more traditional side of Holkenborg whereas the rest falls into his early habit of just making noise.I give it a listen after three years, and i still like it.<br><br>If isn't as good as Mortal Engines or Alita, have a interesting aspects to enjoy: his main theme for Roland, some of the action cues are strong, even the dramatic ones (The Creed or Collateral Damage), some of the sound design are interesting.<br><br>Maybe the weakest aspect of the album, is the middle, some tracks are not that interesting to listen.woooooow <3
From the "No Time to Die" podcast description...<br><br>"You can also be the first to hear exclusive score from Hans Zimmer and brand new recordings from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from Bond 25 brought to you from Decca Records."<br><br>First of six episodes is released on Wednesday 30th September!!that would be great@GR7 that sounds really cool care to share?Hi! What's the story with track "Into Space"? They really copy track "Planet Descent" and name it that "Into Space"?I agree guys. Yhis album and parts of the experiments are vey enjoyable. I tend to listen to OST prriodically, and each year there is one or severall scores that replace what I listen the most, and so on... but Dark phoenix is one I can listen every time. <br>I made personal suites assembling music from the OST and mixing it with expremients, and it results in a 50 min suites album, I really like it.
Same for me. I'm so happy ! :DA Celebration? It's actually on youtube now.Got it. I assumed as much for the first 3. Thanks.hahahaha ... crack, sorry. Well so far there is no news of anything. Only the video that one track and one with Dave, but it's a preview.<br>I'm not sure how to get news on this, I really would like to get it hahaha.Isabel Suite = Isabel the Strong<br>Thadeous Suite = Thadeous<br>The Quest Suite = Let Us Quest!<br><br>End credits is probably ripped from the film.
> Fair enough, but I know for a fact that Steve was inspired by Harry Potter because of the complete score track "Tavern Fighting (Part 1)". The end of that track has a direct reference to The Chamber of Secrets theme from the second film.<br><br>Nice catch. Those are very similar.<br><br>Btw, I have some "expanded" version of the score, which seems to be identical to the complete score on this site, aside from the fact that it's missing the last 4 tracks. Do those have equivalents in the regular release?Yes, I was referring to A Celebration. "It's out there" as in "it can be obtained unofficially". Were you referring to the Sia track? That is on Bleeding Fingers' site.no, but you can find it on the bleeding fingers page.<br>it also doesn't look like planet eart: a celebration has a release :(Well, it's out there. Looks like no official release?> He's just posted in his Instagram story that in 9 days he has more interesting stuff coming.<br><br>Today's status says it's his "first published film score". That sounds like awesome news. I really hope this starts a trend...<br><br>I imagine having your own label-thing helps for stuff like expanded releases and sheet music?

What was RCP's involvement in "Oblivion"? It definitely has a strong Inception/ Dark Knight vibe
The credits state: Mixed at RCP.

Did Clay Duncan work on this?

It's really a great score and fits the movie perfectly.

Ds2013-04-14 16:25:16
I think it's the first great epic score of 2013!

I didn't know it was mixed at RCP, i checked the digital booklet and didn't find anything about that... But i did it quickly so maybe i'm wrong!

Hybrid Soldier2013-04-14 16:33:51
Unlike Tron RCP didn't work on that one in any way... Yeah the score was mixed there, like a LOT of scores these days, cause it's one of the best facilities for that in Hollywood... ;)

The score is great, but unlike Tron, sounds really nothing like RCPish... Sure one cue is a TDKR ripoff (temptrack, I guess), and yeah a few have Tron vibe, but that's all... Putting a synth pad in a score these days & using percussions make everyone call anything RCP...

JamesT2013-04-15 02:32:34
Very true, Hybrid.

Edmund Meinerts2013-04-28 15:56:01
Sounds nothing like RCP? Then what's with all the Batman Begins/Dark Knight ostinatos running all over the place? That opening track "Waking Up" is obviously influenced by Zimmer's Batman scores (with one Inception blast thrown in for good measure) and it's far from the only one. The similarities go way beyond just synth and percussion.

Ds2013-04-28 16:38:19
I agree with Edmund Meinerts, the composers were clearly influenced by Zimmer last works for the orchestral parts (especially TDKR). But what's best in Oblivion score is the synth stuff, which remains very fresh.

Mike2013-07-05 01:21:13
Hybrid, which cue is the TDKR ripoff? Judging by the album, I'd guess it's "Waking Up", but I don't know since I never saw the film or heard the complete score.

Bayhem2019-03-31 10:11:36
The "Oblivion" score is indeed heavily influenced by the MV/RC sound. I saw the movie again recently and it's pretty obvious.

Joseph Kosinski is clearly an MV/RC fan and if you look at all of his movies so far......they all have MV/RC-influenced scores. Even "Only the Brave".

And for "Top Gun 2" Kosinski finally got the man himself - Hans. I guess it helps when you have Bruckheimer as producer :)

What's with DP's helmets on the top right?

I know on the liner notes there is a thank you directed towards Zimmer.. But what's the connection between HZ & DP?

Areozz2014-01-29 01:10:48
Zimmer was the Music Consultant.

Spence2014-01-29 06:53:26
They just won the grammy for Best Album. Since they've worked with RCP, it would only make sense to promote them in that promotion icon spot :)

Zeus2014-01-29 16:43:06
While that does make sense, it was well over 3 years ago. If anything, their helmets were there during the release of the soundtrack and / or film. But who knows. Perhaps that is why, perhaps not.

RealFfingMusic2014-02-08 20:19:13
How many people exactly composed the tracks?

Eddie2018-11-24 17:04:11
Is it possible to purchase a copy of this album? I can't seem to find it.

Hi I'm from Chile. I study graphic design at Diego Portales University I have to do a work about Hans Zimmer . I would know if you can help me please, answering some questions &#191;What do you think about him as composer? &#191;What is his best soundtrack and why? &#191; What is important about his life?(something anecdotic) .If you tell me all the things that you know I'd be really grateful.

Final Scheme, CD 1, is not on the recently leaked sessions?

Stygian2012-12-30 04:05:20
I'm fairly sure it is. Look again.

Anonymous2012-12-30 21:35:47
Not on my set.

Mr. Charles2012-12-30 22:52:14
Well then son, you need to download it again. It's listed on here as track 27. On the sessions, it's cue 5m26s Final Scheme. It was released as the bonus track "Castor"

Mr. Charles2012-12-30 22:54:33
There's an "s" in front of the 26 because it's source music. I would have thought that it's just part of the score, but I guess not. It plays when Sam is in the End of Line club talking with Castor, or "Zues". All of the music playing during that part of the film (End of Line, Final Scheme, Party Crashers) is considered source music.

Yeah...the guy who posted all the tracklists really wasn't faking I guess... O_O

Stygian2012-12-30 04:06:07
Who and where are they

theeaglesfan005 reply Replies: 5 || 2012-12-28 03:43:16
Hybrid, do you have the credits for each track? :)

  Your name :

Please enter number: 1131

Hybrid Soldier2012-12-28 10:20:26
Well you know it's nearly all tracks by Daft Punk & Joe Trapanese.

Flynn's Flashback is by Toby Chu.

Then you have some unknown help by some unknown big guys, but it's not really known... xD

theeaglesfan0052012-12-28 19:47:46
i know Hans Zimmer was involved... in the booklet that came with the soundtrack they give a huge thanks to him and some other people

I really can't wait for Trapanese's TU release on January 8th

Mr. Charles2012-12-28 23:04:59
I was getting at that. They thanked Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, Christophe Beck and a couple other composers. The entire score has Zimmer's touch all over it. But thanks for the partial credit for that one cue I suppose. There just has to be more, though

Hybrid Soldier2012-12-29 10:06:51
Clay Duncan was the first guy hired to score Tron Legacy (hence his trailer music back 4 years ago). His music actually had the roots of the final score.

Director wanted Daft, so they kicked him.

But in the end Mickey wasn't pleased with DP, so they asked for some back up by RCP and others. Not saying DP's score was rejected, not at all, but it was really guided & helped by RCP people, including... Clay Duncan, the fallen... LOL

Mr. Charles2012-12-29 18:08:17
Well I went to Joseph Trapanese's site and found some credits. Turns out he's worked on M83's latest album. They happen to be composing Tom Cruise's new movie "Oblivion", which is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Legacy. Anyway, here's the credits:

1.) Outlands (OST)
Quorra Saves Sam (Sessions)

2.) Fall (OST)
Flynn Drops In (Sessions)

3.) Sunrise Prelude (Bonus Track, same on Sessions)

4.) Rectifier (OST)
C.L.U. Speech (Sessions)

5.) C.L.U. (OST)
Lightjets (Sessions)

6.) Flynn Lives (Same as OST & Sessions)

7.) Solar Sailor (OST)
End Credits, pt. II (Sessions)

Ans Toby Chu arranged "Flynn's Flashback", which is "Adagio for TRON" on the OST

Someguy who wants the inception score reply Replies: 2 || 2012-12-27 23:10:50
Where is the Inception recording sessions? I Mean its great to have this complete scores but why inception its not even released, even the dark knight rises was released so why not inception

Mike2012-12-28 00:06:28
Sadly, m'friend, I don't think it will surface. All we've had were countless fake track lists.

Anonymous2012-12-28 00:12:46
