I'd love to hear any alternates here that haven't been released already. Dutchman Arrival as an alternate especially, and the second alternate for Rum Locker, considering how fantastic the first one is.

dude we get it you want to hear alternates. you just said it three different times but how do you know an alternate will sound anything like its regular version , thats why it’s called an alternate

I'd have no way of knowing what it will sound like. Some alternates are barely noticeable, others are completely different versions. If they're nothing like the original, they're basically the same as brand new tracks. I'd expect any fan of the scores to be very interested in hearing those. Just wondering if anyone here might know more. I was simply responding to two other threads on similar topics.
For the sake of it, the credits to the rest of the cues, that are unfortunately not here...

Any chance of these cues showing up? It's really fascinating to think of some unheard tunes in all of that.
For context, DMC has always been my favorite score. I appreciate so much that you have brought forth the complete scores. I'm curious what all goes into such a project.
You seem to have a good amount of cues streaming on here along with some good unreleased bits. I'm just wondering if you could upload a little more. I am not asking you to put the entire score on here, just a handful of cues.
The tracks I'm most interested in -Swann Helps Elizabeth/Elizabeth Threatens Beckett
-Jack Shows Will The Cloth
-The Dutchman Appears
Concerning Alternate Tracks: I'm am very interested in a lot of the Alternates listed here and would like to be able to hear some of them. Again, I'm not asking you to upload every single one, just ones that sound significantly different than their counterparts, if it's just the same cue with slightly different orchestration then there is no need to bother.

Well the way Hybrid has been doing it so far, he uploads one track for each composer to highlight their contributions. But you know, a general sampling isn’t a bad idea..

I don't think Hybrid is going to upload those tracks because they're simply not available anywhere. And there are a lot of people looking for it. Just like the missing cues for At World's End.

I wasnt aware AWE even had missing cues, outside of post-session film edits

Well the main cue that's missing from At World's End for me, is Will and Bootstrap. Yes there's an SFX filled one, but I've never found a clean version of that track. Yet it's listed on this site and even has a Lorne Balfe credit. Not sure where Hybrid got that, but I'd love that one.

There is also the "New Love Suite" which is likely what the Treasure collection Suite "Marry Me" is based on.

I doubt "New Love Suite" is substantially different from "Marry Me", if at all.

@-Edmund Meinerts
Pirates Day One, Just Good Business & Hoist The Colors Suite contain the same basic structure as their original counterparts albeit re-orchestrated and/or shortened. Marry Me could very well be a slightly altered version of the original suite but since I haven't heard the original I can't say for sure.

Aye, there are a lot of missing tracks from this one that I'd love to hear. Seems DMC got the short end of the straw comparatively.
Does anybody know who is performing Jack's theme piano demo? Is it Hans himself?
Mike

I've wondered this one too, for a while...

As a pianist myself I think I can safely say this wasn’t Hans...from hearing the demo I doubt any one pianist could play it all. This could be multiple recordings on top of each other, or (more likely) one of Hans’ typical computer demos.

To be honest,it sounds a bit computerish to me also. It lacks expressiveness and the "voices" of both hands are at the same volume most of the time, a bit confusing for the ears.
Hybrid, there’s a cool organ variation of Davy Jone’s theme in the film that comes right before Liar’s Dice, although I don’t see it listed here. Is it mixed in with another unreleased cue or is it not on the list at all?
Hybrid, it's been a while since somebody asked but in Dead Man's Chest there are 18 missing cues on a grand total of 15 minutes. In At World's End there are 2 missing cues of gramd total of 5 minutes.
My question is if you know if they are ever going to be released?? Thanks very much
Where can I get these music? Are they comes with DVD? I bought tracks from google play music, and cannot found some of songs listed in here.

Also one more question. why I cannot play any other music than these seven music at the top of the page? [Climbing Up/Jack Sparrow/Tia Dalma/No Survivors/First Escape/Haunted Dress/Heart Madness]
Um. This is not complete. There are like 15 whole cues completely absent from this.

Yep, that's why I wrote "expanded", you know.
Among the missing cues you have :
Norrington Teases Liz Persuade Me Elizabeth Threatens Beckett Monkey Stings Will Watches The Dice Game Cannibal Lights Fire Elizabeth Helps Norrington Swann & Beckett Make A Deal The Dock Scene Swann Helps Elizabeth Tia Dalma Recognizes Him Norrington Overlay ...
For something like 15 to 20 min...

I reconstructed the POTC 2 & 3 (partial for 3) cue lists myself. Was a long and hard work. The original files came without titles, just "1m1, 1m2, 1m3...", and if you're all getting something clean like this, it's because I spent some time on it... Pirates have no secrets for me ! :)

@HybridSoldier Any chance of the titular "missing cues" surface?
What did Hans Zimmer write in the Haunted Dress cue? I didn't hear any of his themes is all.
Mike
2014-10-16 16:11:44
He probably wrote the core cue, because it was also in POTC4 and there's no reference to Trevor Morris on that OST's page. So my guess is Hans wrote the cue and Trevor Morris just did a slight rearrangement or addition.
may i ask who determines who does which cues? and what determines whether HZ does a cue by himself?

Usually, Zimmer writes musical suites, that is to say pieces of music inspired by the film, but not written to match a precise scene : in this case, the suites are "Jack Sparrow theme", "Davy Jones theme" and "Kraken theme", plus all that was remaining from the first movie. Then, the additionnal composers take the suites, arrange and edit them (or even write some new music based more or less closely on the suites) to match the picture. I think all this is mainly organized by Zimmer, even if there is probably quite a lot of discussion between the members of the crew in order to determine who does what. Sometimes, it seems as if Zimmer himself does some cues for the picture, but I don't think it is such a frequent thing...But again, I'm not the one who knows best about this on this site.
I assume Hans is responsible for the "Lord Cutler Beckett" suite from the next film, but did he compose the little snippets of the Beckett theme heard in here?
Areozz
2013-06-01 22:59:39
The "Lord Cutler Beckett" suite was actually written for Dead Man's Chest. Much like the "Jack Sparrow" suite found on DMC's OST, this Beckett suite explores all the aspects of Beckett's theme. It IS the origin of all the little snippets of the Beckett theme heard in here. It's a shame that such a large portion of the Beckett suite never saw any use in the movies, though.
Mike
2013-06-02 02:59:33
That may very well be correct, but the Beckett suite isn't listed on this page. It's on the AWE page.
Edmund Meinerts
2013-06-02 18:39:36
I'm pretty sure that the suite was written for AWE. The only aspect of the Cutler Beckett theme heard in DMC is the three-note rising ostinato (1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2), whereas all of the other aspects of the theme don't come into play until AWE.
NM
2013-06-03 22:27:47
The Cutler Beckett theme is really good. Pity there were no theme suites for OST. Surely the 5 minutes of Mermaids isn't all Hans wrote for that one?
Mike
2013-06-03 23:55:46
No theme suites? If you by the Treasures Collection you get:
Cutler Becket Pirate Lord of Singapore Just Good Business The Heart of Davy Jones Marry Me A demo of the Pirates theme A demo of Jack Sparrow's theme
Areozz
2013-06-04 00:43:43
OST, here, stands for "On Stranger Tides". NM was asking if there were any suites for Pirates 4 outside of the Mermaids suite. I would expect not, given all the complications that score had. All of the new themes introduced in Pirates 4 play basically in their entirety in any one place that they appear (slight exaggeration) so there wouldn't be much more in a suite.
Mike
2013-06-04 00:47:27
Ah, I see. Aren't Blackbeard and Angelica theme suites?
Areozz
2013-06-04 01:06:10
Blackbeard? On the original soundtrack? I guess if you want to, you could call it a suite. It's only composed of three cues that just happen to contain Blackbeard's theme and that were somewhat lazily mixed together: cue #1 is Blackbeard's introduction, cue #2 is Blackbeard's demise, and cue #3 is the one named "Fry The Cook".
And again, with "Angelica": I guess you could call it a suite, but technically, I don't think it is even Pirates music. The very basics of the theme were maybe written by Zimmer, but the music was done by Rodrigo y Gabriella, whose names appear precisely nowhere in the credits accompanying the Pirates 4 demos.
And again, Hans ALONE arranged one of the best cues in the film (AWE's was "Trying to Get Lost", DMC's is "Abandon Ship - Jack's Demise"). So with due respect, if you say Hans has lost it, you don't know what you're talking about! :)
Edmund Meinerts
2013-05-28 10:44:00
Yes, but this was seven years ago now. The people who tend to say Hans has lost it are talking about the last few years. And I must admit that sometimes I do think that to myself, because he hasn't really wowed me in a while - Inception and TDKR are in that drony pseudo-intellectual not-so-thematic style of his I don't like much (though they both have good individual moments) and SH2 and PotC 4 were shameful followups to good or even excellent scores, to name the bigger efforts. Hopefully Man of Steel will bring back a bit of that spark I've misseed from him lately.
Ds
2013-05-28 13:36:16
I'm sure it will. From what we've heard MoS looks like a good mix of the old melodic Zimmer themes and the sharp, violent sound of TDKR.
Mike
2013-05-28 19:45:39
I'm thinking Man of Steel will be something great, particularly with the film. But I'm going to remain slightly skeptical for now, just in case. :P

Hybrid, do you know, out of curiosity, why it is that Hans has other people arrange most of the film cues? Does he want to give the other composers experience? Is he too busy? I'm just wondering.
@Hybrid: Where does the track "Wheel of Fortune" from Lorne Balfe's website fit in on this track list?
Hybrid Soldier
2012-12-30 15:03:22
The cue on Lorne's site is "Climbing Up" (despite its name there, though the names on the site are mostly random titles).
Should be 3m19C or 3m20... :P
Peter

You're right ; Hybrid you add this track (3m19?) Climping Up from LB'Site to the track, but this track isn't in the recording sessions release, i don't know why ? we can add it and the quality is the same to the RE.SE.
