I've been watching this thread cloesly and I feel like there's been a lot of miscommunication. From whether the track should have been on the Soundtrack in the first place, to whether people are aware of how mixing happens on a film, this whole thing has lost it's focus.

The frustration here is that we all felt something profound and extraordinary when we saw this film, (more specifically, the docking sequence) and we aren't able to recapture that moment. The way we all experienced the music in that scene is unique. I don't think anyone refutes that.

But as fans, we all expected what we normally expected when purchasing a film score. We wanted the music that we heard and were moved by. And we've all been treated to mostly an honest system of how these scores are released. In this case, there was a departure from the norm. Thusly, I don't understand why some would be so quick to not understand the frustration. Yes, what's in the film and what's released varies but this situation is unique, due to the the vast difference in what was released versus what we heard. It's like if you heard Thriller on the radio and when you bought the tape, all you heard was vocals and synth, no base, horns, or backing.

First and foremost, mega props to Hybrid for being a real stand up individual for trying to get something moving on this. We are very fortunate to even be in a situation where we're all only 2 or 3 degrees from the man who wrote the damn thing.

However, we all must agree that we didn't get what was heard. You can go listen to the track that was released and then go see the movie and know that the 2 are different. This isn't difficult. It's factual. Plus, getting negative on people was ill advised. Not everyone here knows how the industry works, not everyone knows the minutiae of what it takes to mix something.

We're all fans here. We all wanted to get an amazing piece of music we were swept away with and, right now, we can't.

Hybrid, you done a real good service trying to help here. But look at it from our perspective. There's no bluff behind this problem. You and us all know it's not the same track. We're not making this up. So when we ask for "The Mess" thats because that's what grabbed us, moved us, impacted us. You know what else was a mess? Star Wars. And that did pretty ok.

We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible.
I'm sure we'll get the track as we all heard it somehow. But I firmly believe it didn't have to be like this. The demand is there. Look at how many people are upset about it on this board and on iTunes review. If he doesn't want to release the film version then at the very LEAST provide us with a better master of the one on iTunes because the sound isn't nearly as good as the rest of the album. This should seriously be done. He is a composer and I know how much Nolan and Zimmer are audiophiles so with that being said I am very surprised of the sound quality of no time for caution.Fantastic soundtrack Mr. Zimmer. Many thanks to you for releasing No Time For Caution.Thought about it, but releasing the same track twice looks bad + Hans doesn't like the one used in the film because his original (the one we got) got mixed to sound awesome (ok now im being a dick).

That being said, a Hans Zimmer kickstarter beer fund has crossed my mind.

I am curious tho about the actual level of demand, and whether or not that would justify the resources required to "rip" it from the movie.I made a normalized version for you:
https://mega.co.nz/#!SdBXxbga!3kFBesgl_TZuJhEvmdgNy06F97rPhG loArBljZxGB24
Well for the people that aren't entirely satisfied with the "no time for caution" release, we could do one of two things. 1. Go on Mr. Zimmer's Facebook page and ask him to please release the original track from the film in high quality or 2. start a petition online. Either way it will get noticed and if we are persistent enough we can make this happen. This is a quality problem to have. Every artist would LOVE to have his fans beg him to release a certain track.Great job ace player. Any chance you can increase the bitrate to 256k? Its a bit harsh when i turn it up.Mind...Blown!

If you want something done, do it yourself: youtu.be/6p3s4pwbJfYreddit.com/r/interstellar/comments/2n4hin/no_time_for_cautio n_fixed_version_1/

LOL you wont even want to hear the piece of shit that came out today after you listen to that
this mix is a disgrace to the memory of the lion kingDon't worry the exact track will be released yet again. It will just cost you $1.29 more. lolololLuckily with most music, you can buy individual tracks.

For the layman, the standard OST should suffice.
For those who want to commit a little bit more, get the deluxe.
For those who want a collectors piece, get the projection edition.

The problem being that the standard ost and deluxe editions didn't meet peoples expectations and so the whole pyramid is coming down.Try this one instead, it's better.

youtu.be/6p3s4pwbJfY@Nyct

That may... be true
You keep playing the "im grateful so that makes me better than people card" - i know you didn't say it, but its implied.

Bear in mind, this fiasco is messing with my memory of the best movie of the year! If no one cared, there would be no point in the obsessive refreshing and compulsive commenting. You think people *want* to care this badly about 1 damn track in a soundtrack. We aren't ungrateful by choice...Hi guys! I made a little mix. I tried to transform No Time For Caution to sound like in the docking scene. Included choir and organ at the last part. Not very proffessional, but i think it's enjoyable. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwMsMFXt9KU&feature=youtu.beNo, but you guys sure are picky :PLOLOLOL the vast majority is extremely disappointed dude, and with fucking reason, this is completely unacceptable. At least we're not kissing Mr. Zimmer's ass like you guys are. Conformists is what you are.Yes, I really feel ripped off.
