Someone please tell me that Sherlock Holmes was used as the temp for this score....Yes!!!! I have been waiting a loooooong time for this one!!Holy shit, WaterTower is launching the hype machine earlier and earlier, this release is over 2 months from now :-pSo the big one... Been waiting for it for what, 11 years ? When John Powell was attached to do it ? lolSo, basically this is the proof that Danny Elfman uses uncredited ghost writers.
Ironically, Hans gets the blame for crediting them. What a world.
Did anyone else notice that the vocals in the midportion of Flight—after he crashes through the mountain—are absent in the film version?Well the comment with some known credits is on this page. Just scroll down about halfway.I would pick this over that seriously overrated TASM2 score any day of the week. Chappie grows on me with every single listen. Hans has taken extremely fresh approach with it and it certainly shows. This unique score feels to me like a merger between 1980's and 2010's and I hope Hans explores this style more in the future. It's like a dirtier, grittier cousin to Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy, and I mean that as a compliment.Hmm interesting. Or how about a way to search comments Hybird. That would work too :)Weirdly I actually love the Sketchbook, it's really cool hearing all the ideas hashed out in a raw form. I'd love to hear demos and sketches for other scores.
Zimmer doesn't really talk about his favorite scores (composed by him) much. But with some exceptions (Lone Ranger...?) he comes across as proud of all his scores once he has written them. This has been discussed before, actually, and no, it's not an error. The suite is long and supposedly very repetitive. And btw, Hybrid, I think some people have asked this before, too, but would you be willing to post the known credits up here? I know you posted them down below, but it's somehow much nicer having them on the cues themselves. :PIs the Cat Suite time above incorrect? I have only seen two variations of the suite (same with different names Cat Suite and Selina Kyle Suite) and they are the same roughly 5:41. It looks like the tens place may be an error. To each his own. Too bad you have no taste in music overall.Awful Score. Between "FRISBEE" and * :(
Thanks for adding Hybrid :D

and now i saw on Spotify the release from The Last Man of the Moon, with 11 Tracks, duration by 27minEdmund, about Man Of Steel, don't forget that most of the cues are not orchestra-based. Everything related to Zod was all drums plus some additional electronic distorsion. All the "soft theme" is just Hans playing his piano, plus sampled instruments (the weird guitars he used to suggest wind on electrical wires). So there are just occasional bursts of orchestra... most of them in parts that are not included in the sketchbook.

For me the sketchbook really sounds like synth, I don't like listening to it very much, while I simply dig the score itself. The person who doesn't hear an orchestra in Inception has some serious issues... lolMan's got a point. On some of his scores (not all), I really do have to wonder why Hans even bothers getting an orchestra to record anything. Take Man of Steel...I really can't tell the difference in sound between the entirely-synthetic sketchbook and the (presumably) orchestral recordings in the rest of the score. If HZ had gone all-synth with that one nobody would have even noticed.

I don't like it. Makes the score sound cheap. I much prefer a more organic, "clean" synth-orchestral blend like TASM2.What's with the random comparison to Robocop, of all things? Uh...both movies are about robots...so?
