Hmmm, according to Batu's website he worked on the first half of L3 & Millennium FalconLovely score with beautiful themes, atmospheric vocal parts and a nice orchestration. This is a highly underrated album. It's nothing short of a masterpiece, a modern opera. The choir is beautiful, and the choice of gospel for the first track gives it a unique identity, though I'm not sure how well it meshes with the orchestra. It feels a bit off, but will hopefully improve for me on further listens.

The composition, has to me, elevated Powell to the status of the second best living composer (Williams is still first for now). It's pure orchestral beauty and mastery with variety of texture, color, and style, with seamless tonal transitions. The complexity rivals some of the great works of the past.

It's strange to me that this is called "choral works". Sure the choir is an important element, but it really should be named "Hubris Symphony", or "Hubris: The Opera", because that's the status the album deserves. My Attempt at a chronological order with edits (feel free to correct any mistakes or if I missed anything)

1. Change Of Plan (Unused) (5:47)Rogue One is a bit of an odd one. From what I'd heard, Desplat had joined on the condition he'd be allowed to do his own thing and not ape Williams. But once they decided to overhaul the film, they pressured him to go that exact direction. Things stayed still for a while (in which he still got paid) before he was finally let go very late into production. So the idea he sorta just left is interesting, so I'm curious to hear what that was about.

For BW, it seems very likely to me that Marvel simply were unsure about Alexandre's music, so I'm guessing they hired Balfe to do some demos and decided from there. Who knows what the exact timeline is, but I'd wager it'd have to at least be this year if he's been on it a bit. Especially with AD's name having stayed on the posters during it.
Hybrid, Desplat left Rogue One just for his own idea? I know he left that movie beacuse schedule conflict for the reshoots.
But for Black Widow seems that the replacement was since months ago with Lorne writing and recording the score at the same timeht tp:// filmmusicreporter. com/2020/04/01/ track-list-for-disneys-live-action-mulan -soundtrack-album-revealed/

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinionSo it won't be a last minute and hasty job?No idea but he was on it for a bit, I think.Hybrid, do you know how long Lorne had to score?
Score is recorded already.Yup, which makes me wonder if they had to wait before announcing it, considering Desplat was still being listed in posters prior to the delay.I think Lorne teased this some time ago by sending a picture of researching Russian music on insta (maybe)Hello,

I'm looking for the translation of the song God Yu Tekkem Laef Blong Mi in English of French.

Could anyone help me ?

Thank you !you can't, it's only an info for the complete score

The trailer of the new disney animation Big Hero 6 is out. Hybrid, does it contain Henry's music?

Henry Jackman making a score for a movie about videogames, infallible combination, with good and very funny results, a seriously good score for a movie like this. Henry in the animation, moves like fish in water, regrettably that don't happen on the real action movies. I hope this year Henry Jackman take back and make score like this and "Puss in Boots"

Are you kidding me ?

What's the point ? The "album version" stuff is just duplicate music...

Mr. Charles2012-12-19 18:05:54
Not only that, ### EDITED ###. It's a combination of the FYC promo and the OST. That makes it the complete score? And FYI, a complete score is SCORE - cues from the composer. This has the VA songs. It's what I would call the "Complete Original Motion Picture Soundtrack", if it were even complete

Peter2012-12-20 21:09:44
The Promo Score is only 45 tracks by henry jackman, that's fan edit Ost + VA songs, Great work !!

Fun score, much more creative than Abraham Lincoln or Man on a Ledge IMO. Nice to hear Jackman back on an animation, I think he's done his best scores for kid movies. Although you can hear a lot of Puss in Boots in "Sugar Rush Showdown", but maybe that's just because it was a replacement score. And I just love the 8-bit sounds ("Life in the Arcade" is too fun) and the way they're integrated into the orchestra. Some of the middle section gets a little slow but the first four and last three tracks are fantastic. Jackman is probably my favorite "new" guy to come out of RCP in the last 5 years or so.

I wonder if Michael Giacchino wrote or co-wrote "Broken-Karted". Heh-heh, just joking!

This could be very good, though. Henry Jackman has shown a lot of promise in some of his previous scores, especially Puss in Boots.
