(-(-):(--(:) SOONGoodness, so many HZ scores leaked this week. In fact, its been a good year or so for HZ fans (as far as leaked scores haha). I wonder what happened all of a sudden. Definitely hoping for more in the next couple of months. Maybe Pearl Harbor or Hannibal will come soon. At least, thats what I hope haha.Is the choir music part of the score? And I really liked the music in the last ten seconds of the video.Probably to get it to CD quality. They sound as clean as the album tracks to me.This is something I feel needs to be dragged up in light of the full score becoming available.

I'm inclined to believe this doesn't exist. No evidence has ever surfaced for it. The so-called "Original opening" was supposed to have been included on earlier bootlegs but I can find no mention of it beyond here and the one mention on filmtracks.

So, IF the FYC exists AT ALL, it was likely to be the sessions, just without the songs (because the sessions that leaked... those songs are clearly from the albums - I am curious to know where he got the reel info for them from). I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think I ever will. If it does exist, the sessions themselves supplant the FYC by a mile, and IF it does exist, then those who hold the sessions proper (not the ones that leaked with the songs) also have a cue that has not seen the light of day: the Mufasa's Dead piece that is highlighted above.

I'd still love to see who did what with regards to the film, and I still think there are some interesting alternates. In the Special Edition, I seem to recall Zimmer stating he wrote four hours worth of music, and although I don't think that was all translated into actual cues, I'd be surprised if a great deal of the ideas went unused, or did get used but are still unreleased (like the film versions of Scar's Dinner and Sunrise at Pride Rock). Hell, there may even be material for M8 and M16 given that the film's script went through several pre-release revisions.
One has to wonder though why the FLAC version was downsampled. This means the quality is not as good as it could be, right?Any verfication that the version of Circle of Life shown here actually exists at all? With the sessions, it's easy to replicate the rest of the material but I'd be inclined to believe that "Circle of Life" is just the instrumental version with the film version's interlude or something. The FLAC is 44kHz. So whoever did the conversion did it right this time.i havent heard that theme in ages...imma check it outO-cool, this is indeed VERY cool :)
featurette with new music(choir!)

www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rtcEtDDqvu8Well I mean ''Looking Into Limbo (Alternate)''Untitled track # 1 it's very similiar like MementoThese files come from a 48Khz source. What is the sampling rate of the flac version?I have just realized that the main theme was very close to broken arrow main theme (the famous guitar theme).
that too....aside from that 4th descending note...Very true.

For the sake of argument, and because I'm really tired of this debate. They are also the 'James Bond Chords/ascending melody"yeah there is I just pointed it out.

Do a side by side comparison, you'll hear the same chords.

Superman theme dresses it up by adding a few extra notes at the end bt it's the same ascending chords....Hybrid soldier can you tell us when this score will leak? It's the 1st news on imdb frontpage :)

The vocal rendition of "A Dark Knight" is really beautiful.

To Mr. Zimmer-
Is the score available for performance of this piece by a local choir (Musicians of St. Clare) in Colorado?
Please - someone, tell me how to direct this question to the composer. We'd like to perform the piece at our Fall, 2012, concert in memory of the victims and for the community. Thank you!

Beautiful gesture by HZ & great track, choral reprise of TDKR themes.

tobi2012-07-27 19:50:04
hybrid where can we find this choral piece, and i just saw tdkr and what a great story and music alike.

Hybrid Soldier2012-07-27 19:51:51
Just click on "See details..." on this page and you'll know !

tobi2012-07-27 19:55:53
thanks

Mr. Charles2012-07-27 20:02:27
See, this is one of the reasons why HZ is my favorite composer. You don't see John Williams doing stuff like this.

Anonymous2012-07-27 20:32:22
itunes? :/

Uga22012-07-27 21:10:59
What Mr Charles said^

tobi2012-07-27 22:14:13
@Mr. Charles

I hope the day never comes when john williams has to do something like because that would mean that allot of innocent people have to day.

+ why do you have downgrade another composer like this using this situation

I am great admirer of zimmers music and not that big of fan of williams but to say this is why you like zimmer is just plainly FUCKED UP. Sorry mods for the language

Hybrid Soldier2012-07-27 22:41:36
Yeah I agree with tobi here, no reason to be harsh. Plus, what do you know about what other composers do or do not in their private life ? Maybe they are doing things we don't even know about.

But the point here is that what HZ was über cool ! :)

Mr. Charles2012-07-28 00:02:35
Whoa, whoa, whoa. You guys are totally misinterpreting what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love John Williams. But I see and hear people trash talk HZ all too often. What I'm saying is it's nice to see him doing this. Very humble and generous.

I never said that I'm glad this horrible event happened, I wish to God it hadn't. I said "this is ONE OF THE REASONS that HZ is my favorite composer". It goes to show what kind of a man he is. In no way does that mean I'm glad this happened or that it would ever happen. I don't understand where you guys are getting that from...

And Hybrid, you're right - I have no idea what other composers are doing in their private lives. Why you mentioned a composer's private life is beyond me, because this is not HZ's private life here. He is publicly making this music available to everyone, and I think it's great that 100% of the proceeds go to all the victims of Aurora.

Again, I did not say this is why I like HZ. It's just one more thing to add to the lost of why he's my favorite. No reason to get angry or upright, people. I'm just a beloved fan expressing how I feel

This is a profound achievement aimed at honoring the victims and all affected by a tragedy that shocked a nation. Hans has once again poured out his sensibilities, this time not into fiction, yet over factual and shocking circumstances. Anyone that overlooks the straightforward and heartfelt sorrow and gratitude of this beautiful effort is simply stupid....sorry. I appreciate him and his spirit more as a human being and artist than ever before.

Well, I was rather unhappy with TDKR score (even if I haven't listened yet to the suites and to the digital exclusive material), but THIS is impressive...And yes, it's another proof that, beyond the composer, Zimmer is a great man.
It does not change anything to the quality of the music, but still...Nice to know.

Hans Zimmer this is just a lovelly piece of music words cant describe the emotion and feelings which have gone into this so much sadness and loss of life happened on this day and you have composed what i would say as a heart touching track breathtaking

Whoa, this track is simply amazing. I loved every second of this 8-minute cue. Simply stunning and incredible arrangement and what power when you think of what this track was written for and commemorates. Thank you HZ for this awesome gesture of generosity and kindness.

JordiVcecilia2012-07-28 02:20:37
it's so appropiate...and it's simply breathtaking piece of music.

NUts2012-07-28 05:52:48
Umm...No offense but...This track is the Bane theme and the Dark Knight theme in choral form...We already have this on the OST "RISE" and to be honest, although I appreciate more Batman-related music, I don't see why this composition has to be related to the movie, and why it's not some original piece that has no relation to ANY film....

Nice piece, but I just found that a bit off, considering the circumstances...

Mr. Charles2012-07-28 06:19:51
It has TDKR themes in it because the incident that happened was directly related to TDKR. It would be kind of random if HZ just out of the blue composed a piece dedicated to all of these people. Actually, it would be random if any composer did that. But that is beyond the point. The point is that HZ generously and humbly made this piece specifically for the victims of the Aurora shootings.

ananymous2012-07-28 10:04:42
The man knows no limits ...

Nuts2012-07-28 15:39:35
Sorry but i still disagree. Nice piece of music, but it doesn't HAVE to be the music from the movie. Zimmer writing a piece with its own signifcant identity (apart from the movie) is more appropriate because the shooting is about the PEOPLE DYING, NOT THE MOVIE.

When I listen to this piece it reminds me of Talia/Bane (their theme is used) and the Dark Knight ending....This doesn't remind me of the Aurora incident at all.

I understand where he was going with this, but really, I don't need the shooting to be directly related to the Batman movie. That was the killer's choice - who says we should give him that title designation? Im sure that's what he wants. This is why you see many news stations calling it the Aurora Movie Massacre and taking away the Batman element. Because its NOT about the movie. It's about going to the movies itself.

Like I said my opinion...Its just somber Batman music, to me. I donated. I thank Zimmer for it, just as I thank him for "RISE" and "THE END" off the OST...

Anonymous2012-07-28 19:23:25
"This doesn't remind me of the Aurora incident at all."

Yes because we all want to be reminded of it, lmao. What a dumb thing to say.

nuts2012-07-29 03:09:49
Actually Anon what you just said was pretty stupid.

I dont need music for Batman serving to remind me of the tragedy.

Something else - a different piece of music - defintely.

This is about a guy shooting innocent people in a movie theater. It's not about the Batman movie.

This guy probably WANTS that connection to be cemented in the public, but I refuse that.

nuts2012-07-29 05:25:24
Like it or not, the incident is forever linked with the tragedy.

NUts2012-07-29 19:38:27
Its only linked to Batman if you WANT it to be linked...i refuse to let this guy Holmes make himself remembered through this movie.
