Oh...thank you, "Expanded Sfx" for clarifying on that. I unfortunately have no knowledge about this track list so I had no way of leaving my stamp of approval (or disapproval) in concerns of its legitimacy/quantity of SFX.
JokerXXX
2012-06-10 12:50:40
Sorry... but it hasn't any sfx... It also contains some unreleased things anyways it is not something that Will make you mad... It is only an EXPANDED SCORE WITH NO SFX.

jokerxxx is the guy who use to run the hans zimmer complete scores blog until it (thankfully) got shut down. notice how he says' it hasn't any sfx' JUST like the guy from the blog. GTFO joker... you're a JOKE.
JokerXXX
2012-06-10 23:45:45
Could Someone expalain me why everytime that Someone talks about some unreleased score must everytime be the creator of hans zimmer blog? Or thet it only has a fake... Well you Made a big mistake... I know what I have And I'm the first to say that what I have is nothing of amazing... It only has some unreleased cues like the train sequence or the scene of the meeting between holmes And moriarty... Anyways I'M NOT INTENDED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU... you are the first to say that it is a fake so IT DOESEN'T MATTER OK?? JUST PLEASE SHUT UP!!! And begin to talk about something else...
Mr. Charles
2012-06-11 00:37:21
Guess what, Joker? I have the train sequence, too. "3m16a Train Sequence", as it's labeled on the sessions. And I know 4 other people who have as well. For all I know, you could be one of those 4 people....

Oh...I see my first post has been censored and my second post has been removed entirely. JokerXXX: you suck ass at the English language, as did the owner of that blog (which has thankfully been shut down).
@Angelica: trust us all. It is not worth the trouble to get this, regardless of what it is.
If anyone saw the deleted post, in which I described the unacceptable ways for this hilarious Joker to go about proving his point, you may have noticed that I forgot to include the ONE path that JokerXXX, here, chose to take. And that one would be:
"You guys think it's a fake? Go ahead and call it a fake; I wasn't going to share it with you losers anyway. Just please shut up. (And I'm a little whiner.)"
LOL, you're clearly delusional and also: you suck. Bye bye.
Mr. Charles: be careful what information you waggle around here, okay?
JokerXXX
2012-06-11 10:06:08
"Angelica" as you can see NO ONE cares about my score so i don't think that I'll share it so easely...
As For "Microft" I'M NOT AMERICAN This is the reason For my bad english... You may don't know that there Are billions And billions of peoples like me in the world... So take it easy if Someone DOESEN'T speak english very well...
Pittnus
2012-06-11 14:05:34
Funny how the owner of the HZ blog WASNT english either. I'm sorry, but the bad phrasings, the way it's orginized... this wreaks of a return of our old 'dear friend'. Do us a favor and leave us alone, please. I'm being nice right now. Get off the internet and try to stalk down Hans if it bothers you THAT much to get the music.
Mycroft
2012-06-11 15:37:50
@Julia: his blog was shut down many months ago; but there is now another one that only offers track lists but no download links. We pray that the download links do not return.
@JokerXXX: My name is spelled with a 'y' not an 'i'. And what do you know? The name "Microft" appears in that track list I posted here way back January 5...which originated from the blog that got shut down.
And, yes I know that there are many other people in this world that speak a different language and thereby have to run their posts through a translator. Approximately 375 million people speak English as their first language, and it is often considered the world language as it is the one most studied by non-English speaking countries. However, you cannot quite say billions and billions of people are just like you. There are only roughly 7 billion people on the entire planet.
But I digress...Your style of just-a-little-bit-off grammar is identical to the owner, or our dear little friend, of that blog that got shut down.
And when people post track lists just to be assholes about them--I'm sorry, but you're getting what you deserve. You are just being a tease; it doesn't even matter at this point if what you have is legitimate or if it's just another variation of that shit edit you posted samples of on your blog several months ago. You have come to the wrong place and unless you decide to shut up or if the admins of this site delete this entire conversation, things can only get worse for you.

I'm pretty sure it's a fake BUT if it is, it's a quite impressive fake. Not a single instance of unintended SFX, all the tracks that sounded sped up on the regular album sound to be played at their regular speed here, yes instances of obvious rear channel utilization of a DVD/Bluray 5.1 track do occur but as I've stated there isn't a single instance of unintended SFX and there is a lot of music I don't recall hearing on the official album on there that sounded clearer than a mere Bluray/DVD rip can produce. Overall apart from a very small handful of fan-made instances, this release is one I'd recommend grabbing if you can find it. It should quench your thirst until the sessions eventually make their rounds.
mmm
2013-03-13 23:14:23
This is legit... it's probably an edit but it's a really good one. One track has slight SFX but that's the only one.
It's definitively better than the OST
James
2013-03-13 23:36:36
Nope. Fake. Got this, some tracks have weird cut offs, and even hiss and sfx. Don't listen to anyone else, this isn't legit at all. Sorry :(
I heard there was problems with the tempo of some tracks...Is that true, and if so, how bad is it? Should I not buy it?
Chicken Joe
2013-01-12 02:10:24
Its bad to the point where the music itself isnt even the same as in the film. The pitch is off key completely, and on top of that, sped up. the clock ticking is completely off. Just wait until a complete score leaks, or WB wises up and releases one. I rather doubt it. but we can try.
Areozz
2013-01-12 17:56:34
tempo + pitch = speed. The whole soundtrack is sped up compared to the film. It is, relatively speaking, the same music as what's heard in the film, only sped up. It is an inexcusable flaw, and like Chicken Joe said, the best thing we can do really, aside from making our own custom fixes, is wait for something better to come along.
Mr. Charles
2013-01-13 00:04:33
No Mike, DO NOT buy it. Don't support WB. It's a horrible representation of the film. Perhaps Hybrid can shed some light as to why this happened?
Anyone know what song is used during the fight with the cossack, that's a great song but doesn't appear to be on the album...

It's by far the best song in the whole movie, and I have no clue why it is not in the OST. I don't know who plays the banjo, but the violin player is Ann Marie Calhoun; watch and listen on youtu.be/_LM4o-4XPh0 (unfortunately I'm not allowed to post the full link here; title is "Sherlock Holmes Soundtrack - Ann Marie Calhou - Hans Zimmer")
I would like to publicly thank the guy who fixed up the OST for me. He's very clever and smart when it comes to this sort of thing. He discovered the OST was sped up and the pitch / tone were off. So he worked on it through trial and error, and nailed it.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is now a thoroughly enjoyably listening experience for me. He shall rename nameless for the sake of keeping his anonymity, but he knows he is once he sees this message!!

Does this person, or yourself have the specs available so I can fiddle with Audition?
Gladstone
2012-06-27 05:15:39
I believe this person may. I know the exact speed he slowed it down by, but I think I'll keep mum on it. He worked hard to figure it out. Maybe he'll pop up here and share, maybe not

I hear talk that the correction to be made on the OST is between -8.2% and -8.3% with the most accurate value being much closer to -8.2%. I also hear talk that this modified version of the OST may or may not soon find its way to a public location.
Gladstone
2012-06-29 05:10:44
Keep it private, Mycroft. You worked hard on it. People are so selfish on this public place. AND they steal other people's works. Enjoy it for yourself, and the few others it's available to. We appreciate it
Mycroft
2012-06-29 14:24:52
Thank you for making that realization for me, dear Gladstone. After a period of inactivity, my mind has sort of forgotten how cruel, rude, and ungracious this corner of the world can be.
Never mind what I said before. Okay...the numbers are correct but you will not be seeing this correction publicly available. Go figure it out for yourselves.

Why publically thank someone? Oh wait, its to get everyone rallied up and frothing at the mouth, of course.
As for "keep it to yourself" and all that nonsense - what a farce! Anyone can figure this out with Goldwave and a bit of time. Ridiculous! You think you'd had something truly special the way you're acting.
Mycroft
2012-06-30 03:18:44
Haha, I got you talking, didn't I? I got you frothing at the mouth, eh? Truly, I have nothing special: just the OST rearranged to make it actually listenable (and, mind you, tolerable). Sure, anyone can do it, but likely nobody can or will do it the way I did it.
A "You're welcome!" is, of course, due to Gladstone, and to everyone else: "Cheers!"

Really? It's a track list made by you? Scroll down this page far enough and you'll see when I posted this list back in January. Back then, it even had track lengths. What happened to them on your list?
Also, this is fan made, inaccurate, and the samples that were posted for it sounded like shit. Sorry; try again. Or rather, please don't; people posting fake track lists to falsely expanded, horribly inaccurate, crappy edits is only getting slightly tiresome.
Mycroft
2012-05-17 20:53:35
Wait, so people posting fake track lists and then other people saying how fake those lists are is totally acceptable behavior? BUT as soon as someone comes along and says "Are these the real recording sessions?", their post gets removed. Makes no sense.

If this website was a train, then I'd say it'd been derailed for a good while now. All that's happening here is bootleg discussions; an opportunity for wannabes and elitists to make fun out of fans. How very deplorable.
Hi! After my battleship review, you can read on bsospirit.com my Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows review in english. I just made the translation. You can read about HZ Charitable fundation there. A hug, Jordi.
does anyone know of the melody which was playing during the boat scene ?
Mr. Fate
2012-05-02 03:04:12
I can't recall any scenes with boats in them in Sherlock Holmes 2 (granted I've only seen the movie once)...However, there *are* several scenes with boats in them in the first film. First there's the scene when Holmes is fighting Dredger in the shipyard. That track is not available anywhere, although it is sort of a remixed version of a portion of "Psychological Recovery".
And later on, there's the scene when Holmes and Watson are on the steamboat (?) to get to the slaughterhouse. That one is on the OST--second part of "Panic, Shear Bloody Panic".
But again, if you are talking about something from the second film, I can't help you there.
Prott
2012-05-02 11:21:45
Actually there's a scene where Watson and Holmes are on a boat (it's the scene where Holmes throws the napkin into the sea). Unfortunately the track that plays during that scene is unreleased.
Mr. Fate
2012-05-02 14:05:43
Oh, yes! I remember the scene vividly now! (at least the music in the scene) The napkin belonged to Irene, right?
I feel like the music during that scene was something in relation to a theme associated with Irene. Nearly the same cue (at least the same theme) played in the first film when Irene was conversing with Moriarty on the train. There is a slight nod to the theme near the end of "Moral Insanity".
Then again, I could be totally wrong as memories have been known to betray me in the past.
Ummm, excuse me. There are at least five missing posts that were here just this morning. Someone had posted a link to this YouTube video: h t tp ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upq8Q5m5SGs&feature=youtu.be, and several people began discussing the issue featured in the video. I was there, Hybrid Soldier was there...and did Dawn comment as well...?
Anyway, why was that topic deleted? The concern at hand here is a glaring matter that I would like to hear some justification for. Besides, I thought you mods only removed posts that are either made by spammers, feature excessively rude language (and sometimes not even), or are discussing deals to be made over bootleg/unofficial scores.
This issue fits none of those situations, and I'd be curious to know why it was removed. Personally, I think a mistake that affects the overall presentation and sound of a score needs to be addressed. And if this post then gets deleted without at least some kind of closure, I'll likely just post it again.

lol actually Id like to see the link to that pic xD but you raised a good point, I was tempted to do the same when I first saw AGOS, but at the time it was still in theaters and had no blu ray rip to compare it to.
Hi guys, really i love this movie to much but first when i listened to the Sh2 ost before i saw the movie,i said to myself the music isn't good but when i saw the movie, iam sured the music is great but unfortunately the score is different from the ost album like track 01- i see everything is different from the movie opening music,i hoped to get the complete score of Sh and Sh2 too much :-)
Mr. Fate
2012-04-16 00:26:59
Your English is somewhat broken, but anyway, I'd just like to tell you that they did a pretty awful job arranging the OST. I only saw the movie once, but I can say with some confidence that most of the good parts of the score are actually on the OST--they are all just rolled up into the Shadows Suite. The only noticeable track that is missing by my memory is the train scene.
I've heard another big issue with the OST is that they sped up all the music by 5% compared to how it's heard in the movie. A move like that is unforgivable.
It sucks to go into a movie and hear that the first five seconds of music are nowhere to be found on the OST, but I doubt that the complete scores will be leaking anytime soon.
I just wanted to say I just heinsfid Trine and your music is beautiful! I played the demo and just fell so much in love with the game that I had to have it. Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work inspiring musicians like myself!

Replying to spambots is useless (it just adds more burden). I spent time every day to remove spam, illegal download links, ... and so do not need to get more job to remove useless answer. In several cases it could be difficult knowing what is spam or not. In this specific case, Ahmet answered to the topic, but I erroneously removed its reply so I am not so sure it is spam.
For your own comment, if it was not to this topic, you shall know that when the first post of a topic is removed, the whole topic is removed. So if your comment was not an answer to this post but was an answer to a spam message that was begin of a new topic (as most of them), it gets automatically deleted.

But Ahmet is talking about a video game demo. No video game exists for this movie. Also, whenever I type in the words "heinsfid Trine" I get zero Google results. I know that replying to spam bots is useless but very clearly I am human. I'm also having a bit of trouble understanding 100% of what you're trying to say.

You do realize there is a forum for this website. If you want to discuss stuff in a semi-civilized form, go create an account on that forum and stay away from this part of the website. This comment section was created for those casual listeners who just want to express their enjoyment and thanks of the music without having to go through the hassle of creating an account just to say "thx." But as of late, the comment section has been horribly misused and abused--not just by spambots but by charlatans and evil villains.
Does anyone know the title and composer of the piece that plays for Watson's wedding? It's a classical string piece not included on the soundtrack. I cant find anything on it and was hoping someone here recognized it.

After meeting Simza for the very first time, there was a fight scene between Cossack, Holmes and occasionally Sizma. During this fight there was z tune in backgroud that had a stron irish feeling (mostly given by fiddling and probably bodhran playing). Not sure about the contents but the track titles seem different from the cue sheet names.
Mycroft
2012-01-06 14:42:47
Oh...you have the real cue titles? That's cool. Isn't it a bit early for whispers of a complete score for this film to start? I mean, it's only been out for a month. There wouldn't even be any DVDs in decent quality that could be pirated and used to make, well, what I posted above.
I'm a bit surprised to see that this page hasn't been set ablaze like pages sometimes do when new track lists are revealed. Perhaps everyone has quit coming here after the incidents you had to deal with over the summer and fall.
And in the end, I would also expect the track titles to be different from the real thing considering this list came from a place that was recently talked about on the Inception page.
JangleJingle
2012-01-06 16:25:31
BY the way you spelled Mycroft "Microft" on track 21....Im guessing that was a typo....
Pay no attention to this guy. They are the cues from the OST edited into pieces and coupled with parts of the first score.
Next time just leave that someplace else yes?
uga2
2012-01-06 16:58:24
My hunch says this is just a combination of the first score and the second...
Mycroft
2012-01-06 17:32:40
@JangleJingle: what are you blaming me for? I didn't crap out this nonsense. I'm just making people aware of it. Mycroft is misspelled on track 21, and track 20 is called "Romanian Mind". That's not the name of the track, is it? Mycroft is also misspelled in track 12 on CD 2. Besides, where..else...would...I...leave..it? There is no other place on the internet better than this site to post a track list such as this one. Unless you have a recommendation...?
@uga2: is there really that much material reused from the first film that could be made into something this long?
uga2
2012-01-06 17:52:05
@Mycroft, Considering that this is coming from that notorious hans zimmer blog, I'd say the guy is willing to put the two together just to make it seem like it's an expanded score. It happened before when the first unofficial dark knight expanded score came out; just a bunch of stuff used from batman begins poorly mixed in with dark knight ost. But we will find out, wont we?
Mr. Charles
2012-01-07 02:01:31
@Mycroft,
1.) A movie being released has absolutely nothing to do with when sessions or a complete score leaks. I got my hands on Marco Beltrami's The Thing Complete before it even opened in theatres.
2.) You got this list from that cheap ass ############. That is why this place didn't explode like you wanted it to.

"Like I wanted it to"? Whatever do you mean? All I was curious to know is if people still go nuts when a new and unfamiliar track list to one of their Holy Grails gets posted. Remember what happened with Mr. Jones earlier this year? Classic, right? I know.
Who knows if anything he had was ever real or not? Who knows if Mark G. was not also this tricker, Mr. Jones?
I am very well aware of the origins of this track list, Mr. Charles, and I'm surprised they allowed you to post the name of that blog. It was censored when it was brought up on the Inception page last week. Perhaps we are all helping in the kind of publicity that "cheap ass fake" blog needs--the bad kind!

Leave a tracklist to a complete score that people on this site more than likely wish they had, invite sarcasm. Thats the short end of it.
missing one tune

After meeting Simza for the very first time, there was a fight scene between Cossack, Holmes and occasionally Sizma. During this fight there was z tune in backgroud that had a stron irish feeling (mostly given by fiddling and probably bodhran playing). Im missing it on the soundtrack CD (which I bought mainly for that tune, btw :(. Anyone know where could I find this tune?
Hey, guys. I'm a really big fan of Hans and always will be, and I think that many of you guys are much bigger fans of him and know lots more about him and his tracks than I do. But I got really frustrated with all of the negativity. I really have no desire to visit this sight again because all I feel like I read was people insulting other people. This sight seems to be nothing more than another place for stupid "Youtube" arguments that nobody wins... Sure, I like people expressing their opinions... but do you have to be so negative.. I mean soundtrack music is supposed to be entertaining, not to make mortal enemies, and if a person can't do that, then they need to find a hobby.
Also, People have the right to judge self proclaimed critics all they want, because they are SELF proclaimed critics...
Does anyone know the fiddle/violin song which plays after Sherlock first meets the fortune teller and chases the assassin. The same song plays throughout that sequence. I've heard the whole soundtrack including the bonus tracks but couldn't find that song. It's the same thing they did with 'Rocky Road to Dublin' in the first movie, but that was much more recognizable.

I recognised the song so much, I've been trying to find it too! But it is similar to a song I am used to play on the violin, Cooley's reel, but I am not sure if it is the right one. Similar though =)

I think it might be congress reel, actually --- very similar to cooley's, but i think congress is closer.

I'd bet more than a couple bucks that this track was contributed by The Punchbowl Band - they're a traditional Irish group that plays at Guys Ritchie's pub, and their fiddle player sounds dead on for the reel during the chase scene. Now, to find a copy of that recording...
Gee...I sure hope Zimmer doesn't BUTCHER the OST for the Dark Knight Rises like he's done so far with Rango,Pirates 4 and Sherlock 2....
You know, Im all for source music and inspiration, but I dont need to hear it if its NOT IN THE DAMN MOVIE. I dont buy OSTS to hear music thats not in the film to begin with.
I hope Nolan reigns this guy in, because the score's te damn thing, not the jam sessions. That's secondary.
As always, the soundtrack works VERY well in the movie. But there's only ONE "roma" cue in the movie... and 6 tracks on the soundtrack?? wtf?
It was the same story with the 3 Rodrigo y Gabriela tracks from POTC4 soundtrack.

Wait, you're saying that all that other tradtional-style, NOT-score music isn't even used? I haven't seen the movie yet, and it's sad to see that this score appears to have been built similarly to PotC4, as you pointed out. That's disappointing.
I guess on the bright side of things, we know that Hans Zimmer did go out that way to study the music there to make sure what he produced sounded authentic. At least that's what I read...somewhere.

Yeah, only "Romanian Wind" is featured in the movie. It's sad. Maybe Zimmer wanted to put the other roma tracks in the movie, and the producer/director didn't want such an atypical score?
This one ain't bad, but I hope there will be more on an expanded soundtrack someday. I just came out of the cinema and there are many good action cues which are not on the album.
I've got a question. What is the song that starts playing when that Gypsy girl stops singing when she realizes that Sherlock has stopped breathing and John saves him with his wedding gift? I've listened to the soundtrack but I don't think that song is on it. If I'm wrong and it is on the soundtrack could someone give me the title of the song?

Please make sure you make it clear you are about to reveal a spoiler from the movie. I actually haven't saw the film yet and it has ruined a moment of the movie for me and probably others too.
If you have to ask people what song it is, that means it isn't on the soundtrack and you won't be able to find it.

Excellent point sir! For emphasis, you could have replied directly to alex455, but nevertheless, your explanation is something that more people need to understand. It's much like the other explanations I see around here often whenever some noob asks, "Is there any news on [insert RCP holy grail here] [insert proper/improper classification of score including: complete score/recording sessions/whatever here]?"
In short the response typically is, "Well, no sir, there hasn't been. If there were, you would definitely know about it."
In response to alex455: since the music you're after likely isn't on the soundtrack but could be a real composition (as opposed to score written specifically for this movie), it could be listed in the film's end credits. If it's not there, it may turn up under the film's page on IMDB or some other database. If that doesn't turn out to be the case, it's most likely just another cue left off the OST that we'll never see unless a complete score ever surfaced (which is not likely at all) or DVD rip gets done.
Same response goes to Armie can Ardor and Nick D below.

Exactly. That may have come off as a little harsh, but it's something everyone needs to know before they ask.
Source music is one thing, but asking for a particular cue from the complete score among many that were not officially released and/or are not widely available on the internet isn't typically received well. We'd all love to have the complete score, but sadly, if we haven't heard even a whisper of any unreleased music from the first score, anything here is damn well near impossible.
1. In which language is "Beautiful Eyes" sung? 2. Who sing "Beautiful Eyes"? 3. Who has composed the waltz, which appears in "Just Follow My Lead (The Waltz)"?

Actually it's Vladimír Sendrei and Janka Sendreiová (it's a slovak name ... "Sendreiová" is a feminine gender form of "Sendrei" :-) ).

@Matti:
No, it's no mistake. The operetta "Wiener Blut" by Strauss was first played in 1899, but the waltz "Wiener Blut" by Strauss premiered in April 1873.
