Looks like they may have cancelled the score soundtrack from both Amazon and Barnes And Noble who previously had it listed as a June 28th release, now dont even have it listed as an entry on their sites.

Guys its most definitely coming out. It might just not be exactly the 28th. It's coming next week guaranteed, though, so don't worry!
Very nice, hope it's longer this time. But I'm a little worried, since I wanted to listen to it before seeing the film.

And like I said, here is your moment to say "I told you so". See? I've already calmed down now that I know the tracklist. Today has been a good day. So now you no longer have to worry about people such as myself freaking out, ok?
kaka

Dude, I told you to keep your pants on. The music plays on the official site which is good enough for me. I never listen to the samples on Web Radio, anyway. Chillax, ok?

Even though I said be patient, I have a weird feeling its going to get pushed back again...it really is awfully close to the release date to not even have a cover.

Just be...patient. it's coming. Details on the album are being kept quiet. That's all. The release date IS June 28!
Von
2011-06-17 00:47:30
and it was June 16th first...they can do whatever the want. Release date means nothing.

Well not everyones listing it as not available. But hey it comes out the 28th! Why worry?!
Kaka, keep your pants on. It's just that some if us (myself included) are worried it's not coming out. The film opens in 7 and a half days, technically speaking, and there is still no tracklist or artwork. You have to see it from our point of view. This time in 2009, Revenge of the Fallen already had the artwork, tracklist, and samples of each track on iTunes and Amazon. If it bothers you that so many people are still freaking out over it, then be the better person and ignore it. Don't respond. Otherwise, chill. And IF and when it finally comes out, then you get to say "I told you so" and we will have calmed down by then.

Im always calm.
But as you can clearly see, album details did surface so no worries...Wow...I can imagine worrying about not getting a paycheck..this? not so much...its just music.
Another thing I have noticed when it comes to music not heard on an album - when it comes to the sequel, sometimes the composer will take cues not heard on the prevous album, remix them, and put them in the sequel album....
Thats great, but typically we all wanted the previous album's mix, not the new one. I dont know why they do that, maybe it has to do with costs or they deliberately keep it off the album because they're gonna use that as a sub theme in the next one...
From the track I believe is "conspiracy" really nice use of the effect from inception in there! :p

Considering the number of co-composers here Im going to guess another 40 minute album is in store for us.
Remote Control must have some kind of Industry contract because the more composers you hve on the score, the less music ends up on the OST...Maybe it has to do with royalty issues the co-composers are denied in favor of the main composer getting the credit for the score itself.
I find it funny how before you'd have one score, one composer. It was all his or her own work. Now you have 5 or 6 cooks in the kitchen, and its not all the main composers work...Which sucks.

It says here that Warner Bros. is the record label. But I checked on Warner Bros. AND Watertower music websites and I have found nothing. There's no artwork, no tracklist or anything. I'm getting worried.
Von

ROTF, while released before the film, wasn't even finished recording the score but like a week or 2 before the film release, which I think contributed to the short track lists and it was released by a different record company compared too Watertower, who released the score for the first film and now this film. The reason for the lack of cover and track listings is they are probably still recording the music and putting the CD release together. Patience, It will come.

I am patient, I'm just panicking. Are you sure this time in '09 there was still no tracklist or cover? I could swear there was. I remember looking at it on iTunes, and sampling the tracks on Amazon. I know composing is usually one of the last things done, but time is ticking. And on Bay's site, he stated the film is officially "DONE". T1 is Warner Bros., and ROTF is Reprise, a division of Warner Bros. music.

we should get an hour this time like the first release, looks good! :D
kaka
2011-06-14 23:38:50
well, I am aware that composers dont work on the scores until generally a few months or so before the release date, so yah its cutting it close...
But look at it this way - if the score album lacks because its released too early then we may benefit if this is released later....
We'll see

I chatted with amazon and they say it will be released on June 28 this month. So stop worrying and be patience. It was delayed because of warner brothers and the label company.
kaka
2011-06-15 05:07:19
LOL you needed to chat with Amazon? Come on, man....
Just wait til June 28th or whatever and we'll figure it out then. Until then, just record the samples off the TF3 website.
Its a perfectly normal thing for a scorehound to do...

Finally listening to the music on the film's official site. Sounds epic and amazing, can't wait to get it! There's a very nice variation of "Prime" from ROTF playing. I like.

I think it's not very impressive for the moment. I hope we'll have a new version of "Arrival to Earth" on the cd and some drama-epic stuff which lacks on "ROTF" cd.
The website of the movie has clips of the score check it now. It sounds even better than the last 2. Trust me i can't stop listening to them.

Me neither, just hearing it while they show scenes on the site, just epic. June 28 is going to be a long wait, if they only pushed forward to this Tuesday, it would be sold increbibly fast!
Just 19 days!

More vomit-inducing crap from Jablonsky. He really is a talentless hack. Used to give his scores a listen and think meh. Now I just don't bother. Samples are painful to listen to.
i'm a little worried we entered the month of this epic film and still no word on the score

Actually, Amazon has the score releasing June 28th....I dont know where you're getting your info from...But its coming out.
Can anyone answer whether James Newton Howard is coming back for The Dark Knight Rises? It seems such a crime shame to have had that collaboration and with the notion that Hans is going solo on this?

Dakota, Jake's right i highly doubt the score is gonna come out 22 days before the film does, that NEVER happens. I bet amazon changes it.
