Hans Zimmer and a philarmonic?

Would that be amazing ...
John Williams came to NYC like 2 yrs ago and along with the philarmonic had a amazing night themed " a night at the movies."
I think HS will be superb in a philarmonic. This is only the "expanded score", not the "complete score".Can anyone tell me why this list doesn't seem to include "1m10/11 Father Son & Baby Po?" Was it not recorded?I pulled a Giacchino, track 1: The Not So Merry Go Round ;0

One of my favorite tracks in faceWell, okay then. No hope for an expanded Begins release, I guess.
Will definitely want this score.Yes, the Transformers score was planned from the very beginning, and it was decided to have it released at the same time as the DVD.
Not knowing that, many people got pissed, and started a (useless) petition. There is a crude recording of the Be Prepared Reprise, it's even sung by Jeremy Irons (or Jim Cummings, I can't tell them apart). What I'm saying is there was stuff recorded that has never seen the light of day. For instance, the Be Prepared reprise. That was near-finished (it had an instrumental track, I think the hyena chorus had yet to be finalized). The CD was always planned. Like Armageddon, just very bad timing...
Kinda like TDKR....movie sounds better than album.Actually, if I'm remembering correctly, I believe it was a petition that got the first Transformers score released (and that was an excellent album if you ask me!).Do petitions work for this kinda thing?I don't suppose there are any petitions for a two-disc BB soundtrack floating around, are there? :PI concur, Anonymous. I love hearing that Hans Zimmer will be scoring a film, but there are a lot of "blossoming" talents at RCP who would probably appreciate the chance to do whole scores and not just additional music/arrangements.
It was recorded, yes. But it never got put with the soundtrack given it was an abandoned idea. They finished it and released it on "Rhythm of the Pride Lands", a CD I am proud to own because it also presents a few other pieces from the film in concert-style.@The Joker: I've known that was there, but I didn't know if it was legitimate.Interesting...Well, maybe one day he'll be able to take a break like John Powell is doing and get stuff like this rolling.this is mgbube for ggctuk but the song was recorded and all so zimmer got paid for it so it must be part of the soundtrack check here and please advise hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8_W82JSnmM thanks mgbubeWarthog Rhapsody was an early idea that got replaced by Hakuna Matata. It says that much on the Special Edition DVD, and I remember hearing it mentioned in the making of the Rhythm of the Pride Lands CD.

Hi Ed

Nice to hear from you. As you probably know the score is now up on iTunes. The physical CD situation has been more complicated. I finished the album weeks ago, but we didn't actually finalize it until a few days ago. Michael Bay is really happy with the score and he wanted to check out the album before it went out. As you might imagine, he's a busy dude. He's been flying all over the world promoting TF3, making it difficult to get approval. But I was happy that he wanted to be a part of the soundtrack and I did not want to release anything before he had his say. The record company tells me they need 4-6 weeks to get the album produced and into stores, which would put us into August at this point. A lot of discussion went into this, but the decision was made to wait on the physical CD, and release some kind of special edition alongside the blu-ray release (maybe autographed copies or other goodies, we don't know yet).

I know people are probably disappointed. Believe me I wish I could get physical CD's out there tomorrow. But it's just the way things went this time around. I can see why Paramount would rather not release a score CD almost 2 months after the movie release. To them it makes more sense to do something special around the blu-ray/DVD. I understand that.

So anyone interested in a CD should rest assured that it WILL happen. It just won't happen until later in the year unfortunately.

These big movies are so complex sometimes!! I hope you've been well!

Steve

According to imdb, Jablonsky will score "Pain & Gain", the new Michael Bay movie. The collaboration of these two men has always given outstanding scores, so it's good news :)

The Battleship page isn't up yet so i'll start this conversation here. Anyone think the music from the Battleship official site is part of Jablonskys score?

Cody2012-02-22 01:57:10
havent heard it yet but this sounds promising!!!!! :D

Mycroft2012-02-22 02:03:29
If you haven't heard it yet, then what exactly sounds promising? The fact that Jablonsky is composing the score for Battlefield is enough to sound promising?

Mr. Charles2012-02-22 04:14:07
*Battleship*

Ds2012-02-22 13:00:59
I don't think the music of the site is from Jablonsky...

Mycroft2012-02-22 15:07:03
*Battleship. I was clearly not thinking when I was typing that. Or maybe my mind was trying to shut out the fact that they are making a movie out of a board game. What will be next? Candyland: directed by Tim Burton, scored by Danny Elfman?

Joshua2012-02-22 17:52:53
lol Candyland is happening! Adam Sandler is attached. So if thats the case then it would be Rupert Gregson-Williams.

Mr. Charles2012-02-22 18:07:15
Battleship was supposed to happen several years ago. Gore Verbinski (all 3 PotC) was suppsed to direct. Or maybe he was supposed to do Ouiji. Yes, that's suppsed to be a movie too.

Everan2012-03-02 20:20:12
Doesn't sound like Jablonsky. Knowing his style, I say he's gonna ocmpose something of a mix between Transformers and Gears Of War.

Ds2012-04-03 13:32:10
"Battleship" score soundtrack is 76 min long!!! (according to filmmusicreporter).

It'll feature a track composed by Rage Against The Machine's guitarist, maybe this is the music of the official website.

Do you think we got a digital release next week? The film opens in Europe on april 11th.

Evenstar2012-04-04 07:14:39

theeaglesfan0052012-01-23 21:29:07
true, Mr. Fate... i dont like how the internet is changing... they should just release these things in FULL... i would pay $20 for a FULL score... i mean the soundtracks go for like $10 now... so release the FULL ones for $20-$25... people will buy them.. they will make a profit

The President of the United States of America2012-01-23 23:34:25
Eaglesfan, it has something to do with the record companies or something, I think. Otherwise full scores would be released.

That being said, I have no idea what the deal is with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. 39 tracks over 3 discs totaling nearly 3 hrs (the movie itself was 2 hr & 40 min), tell me that's not a complete score right there.

Mr. Fate2012-01-24 03:14:17
Yes, and I've even heard that all three hours of that score sound somewhat similar. It sounds extremely dull.

Whether RCP scores are worthy of awards or not, I too would pay to have full scores for just about any of the films they've composed for. However, for the amount of people that would really pay money there will be a proportionate amount of pirates that will likely end up costing the companies money.

Digital releases would even suffice--or at least release things that aren't embarrassments like the jack ups in PotC1 or the new Sherlock Holmes movie, or the poor choices of content for Rango or PotC4 or the new Sherlock Holmes movie.

It's too bad none of the Top Men from RCP ever come down here and look at what we, the fans, have to say. (I mean, sure there's a lot of bad stuff here, too, but oh well--and complications with the record labels and whatnot.) It would be totally rad if they did and we could at least get some expansions on the scores we love so much!

theeaglesfan0052012-01-24 14:47:20
i agree Mr. Fate... digital releases would be nice... they can release lossless quality... Dragon Tattoo was released online in lossless

Ds2012-01-24 18:54:04
"Dragon Tattoo" is only Reznor/Ross playing with synth and noise, so they can release a fully more-than-complete score, calling it music, that the NIN fanboys will have to adore.

For what i heard, the true problem with complete scores seems to be the contract with orchestras, no?

T-Mann0362012-03-13 05:38:59
I truly love your version, D A R T H! You truly deserve an A for effort.

Oh and let's have a registration system, and one username per IP address only. I know multiple people on here are posting using different names. It's not cool and spams the site.

So please, Hybrid, let us return to the olden days from the early 2000's and have a discussion site once again.

I know all the messages have been deleted, but I just wanted to state that this "Lord Blackwood" character claiming to have the sessions yesterday is a total fake.

Mr. Fate2012-01-17 03:40:59
Do tell us more about him! Will there be any way we can look out for fakers like him in the future? As I said before, we are all getting sick of these games. It wouldn't surprise one bit to learn that this Lord Blackwood, Mark G., Felix, and Mr. Jones are all the same person.

The President of The United States of America2012-01-17 03:57:34
WTF it's telling me not to post links whenever I respond

The President of The United States of America2012-01-17 04:00:49
Firstly Mr. Fate, I like you and I like seeing you here. Really, I mean that. You know who I am, but I'm choosing to go with this username to cover my own ass. The name in his email is Mark Strong, who is the British actor that portrays Lord Blackwood. I could give his email right here to expose him, if I wanted to. I specifically asked him for "8m62 Trapped in Building / Falling Down Side" from DotM, and he couldn't provide it, BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVR IT. He never answered me back, which is exactly what these chickenshit fakers do when they can't prove something.

Mr. Fate2012-01-17 04:06:32
Well, I don't think we can worry about these kinds of fakers. What they do is beyond your and my control. Nobody can control them, nor can anyone understand why they do what they do. It's just such a damn shame that the world has to be like this.

I've said this countless times, and I'll say it again. We wouldn't be having issues like this if there wasn't such a drastic separation between elitists and non-elitists, or at the very least if RCP could put out, well, more than what they do. I have to admit: that Sad Fan who was all over the Kung Fu Panda pages last week did have some good points.

It's just a shame, and there isn't a thing any of us less fortunate folk can do about it except sit around and hope some dolt higher up leaks whatever Holy Grail(s) we seek.

The President of The United States of America 2012-01-17 04:08:06
I wish you and i could talk privately about this somewhere....

Mr. Fate2012-01-17 04:52:20
It's alright...You can't look out for everyone everywhere all the time especially if you have more important things to do in the real world. Just know that I am one of the few who won't fall for these evil liars and trickers any more.

Alas, I didn't expect anything good to come out of someone whose email address was a name and then a bunch of nonsensical gibberish. The elitists just don't behave like that. You are welcome to join me in an attempt to protect this site under whatever name you care to use, Mr. President.

Proof is in the TASTING of the goddamn pudding. And if I cant taste it, then as far as Im concerned you can go fuck YOURSELF, because your actions thus far only serve to try and fuck ME and you can go to hell with that attempt, mister.

The President of The United States of America 2012-01-17 07:39:57
That's no way to talk to the President. Chillax, dude. He posted his email yesterday, I went for it to prove him wrong and sure enough I turned out right. Someone's gotta do the dirty work around here and see what the deal is. I don't see any volunteers, are you volunteering? No? Ok then, no need to get so nasty. This whole section will probably be deleted tomorrow, anyway.

Mr. Fate2012-01-17 16:36:29
You meant to say that you've said your piece, I believe. BALLS, I had to read your post roughly ten times before I understood what you're trying to say. Turns out you're just one of those RCP newbies who doesn't understand a thing about how stuff works around here.

It appears that despite you replying to my conversation with the President, that you didn't read a single word of any of our posts. You're the only one in this situation who appears to be perpetually hitting himself in the balls.

I can't even tell if your anger is directed at us or at that Lord Blackwood character. We had already settled on the fact that the man was a phony and were moving on to look out for the next buffoon who thinks he has something special and wants to wave it around. It looks like you're just trying to reinforce that fact by you, yourself, getting punked and also using a lot more colorful words than what were necessary here.

Oh, and by apologizing for being an asshole and then immediately withdrawing the apology, you've made yourself an asshole. Conglaturation.

RJ's Balls2012-01-17 16:45:08
No Ive said my peace because Im at peace with this topic. Honestly. I dont go to the ridiculous lengths some of you go to to PROVE this guy or that guy wrong....

Why do YOU have to work for it? Especially after being burned the last 4 times?

Youtube or GTFO...

Rjs Balls2012-01-17 16:50:15
oh and one last thing...you're settled with the fact that the man was a phony...Really? Are you sure? This time?

Because I was settled with that the minute I read "Ill just leave that here" - you know...THAT line that starts this whole bullshit.

Call me an asshole, but you know its damn true. You shouldnt have to work for ANYTHING, nor be so gullible.

...just because someone drops a playlist that may or may not be fake, but has already been proven fake 4 times in a row from previous attempts.

Next time you get someone like this its either Youtube or GTFO. Simple as that. Why you gotta put yourselves through all this BS?

Mr. Fate2012-01-17 17:11:09
On that last post you made, did you hold down the enter key or emphasis or something or do you just like wasting space?

I'm sorry--are you criticizing us for proving people are fakes? I think you're the guy who has the bigger problem here. It doesn't make any sense why you would want to criticize the people who are being helpful. And what does "dropping a playlist" mean? I've typically heard it called a soundtrack, or maybe even simply music but what does that phrase mean?

We aren't the ones who are gullible here; we're simply trying to look out for those who are gullible and get these fakers removed before the noobs get themselves into trouble.

What was all the BS that we put ourselves through? One person contacted Lord Blackwood, Blackwood sent him two tracks and it was enough evidence to know that Blackwood was a phony. If that, to you, appears to be a lot of work, standing up from your keyboard must be a truly excruciating task.

robert downey jr's balls2012-01-17 19:14:36
EMPHASIS....

Inception.
Pirates 4
Transformers 3

Now Sherlock...

I count 4 so far. Thats 4 times someone's dropped a playlist/tracklist no one's ever seen before. "I'll just leave that here" implies an elitist condescenion to a person or persons who aren't in the know. Think of it as baiting, or giving a dog a bone that has no meat on it.

But the providers Im fuzzy on. I recall a Mr. Jones and his bullshit. Mark G especially with his boner of a fakeout. Felix. Now we have Lord Blackwood. Anymore? Same guy perhaps?

Im not the one with the problem because I dont subscribe to this industrious "flushing out the faker" thing going on here. Especially when really all you have to do is get the guy to upload youtube samples and be done with it without all this clandestine back and forth emailing. I mean seriously, how many times has that method worked for you and come to absolute fruition?

Im not the one with the problem, it just frustrates the hell out of me to see people continue to do the same thing over and over again getting gyped and not learn anything.

Stop wasting your time with that. See the pattern. Develop a better tactic that doesn't have YOU doing all the legwork because that's what THEY want you to do.

I do recall a time when someone came round with King Kong score and actually uploaded Youtube samples to prove it. AH that was something wasn't it?

The President of The United States of America2012-01-18 00:00:47
Hot damn, I go to class and this place blows up!!

Mr. Fate2012-01-18 00:15:59
It's just that this guy apparently has no control over his balls (which isn't so surprising). I don't know what he's trying to prove...that he can write more fluff than me? I'm actually putting out sensible statements and contributions to the argument, but I can't tell why he keeps posting, Mr. President!

He thinks we shouldn't do what we're doing--you know: protecting people?!...Too much work he says...

The President of the United States of America2012-01-18 04:55:11
He must get itchy in his pants, us trying to keep the noobs out. It is not for him to decide that it's too much work. Like I said last night, someone's gotta do the dirty work around here. I went for it, proved my point, and Lord Blackwood has not been heard from ever since I came in contact with him. I think my job is done here. Temporarily, of course - until the next noob comes along

RJ Balls2012-01-18 06:28:27
Dirty Work of keeping the noobs out? Self Important designated occupation?

You honestly dont have to work so hard, if you're looking for sensibility. Youtube samples or GTFO/ignore.

Such hard work indeed!

Now, why this is met with such defense? Therein lie your balls, or should I say your collective balls.

So after watching Transformers 3 DOTM, I was all excited to grab the soundtrack on account of the 'Seal of the City' orchestral track. After all my searching I find that its available, but a royal fraternity of stingy assholes arent releasing it so they have more pissing points @ there exclusive 'insider' circle-jerks. Simply infuriating, these people should be flogged violently. The 1% of us who appreciated the real soundtrack that took effort (no offense Linkin Park fans), acoustically cockblocked. Downright shameful, as we should be able to but the damn track

Mr. Charles2011-11-20 19:14:57
The 'Seal off the City' scene is simply just "Heed Our Warning" from RotF. And what is this royal fraternity of assholes you speak of?

MR Man2011-11-20 19:18:55
Desmond, i think you been on that island too long! The music you want is just from the Revenge Of The Fallen Album, they just re-used it for DOTM. See ya in another life brotha!

Desmond2011-11-20 19:51:30
Both a genuine thanks to Mr Charles + Mr Man (I never saw RotF but will purchase the soundtrack) and a generalized mea culpa to the aforementioned fraternity : ) I've come across a few films before where tracks on the movies score never made it to the public, but were tightly guarded by folks with access, it appears that this is not the case here. My apologies!!!

Areozz2011-11-20 20:54:25
Well, from that we must assume the circle-jerks you were referring to are in fact RCP, eh? Yeah, quite a lot of the RCP scores are tightly guarded and will likely never be officially released or even leak out of "the vault", which is a shame for a lot of them. Some OSTs are not entirely representative of the full score.

I have to note that while "Heed Our Warning" did get used in DotM, it has been remixed, and that version also contains portions that won't be found on the original RotF score. I'm glad to see it get used though, as it was an entirely unused track in RotF.

CD Release NEWS???

Areozz2011-11-02 22:43:39
NOPE.avi

Anonymous2011-11-03 04:34:12
There is an APE edition that got leaked to some people, so a lossless (ie CDA quality) version exists. Do not know the source but its out there.

//////2011-11-03 04:37:21
Can you explain what this APE is?

Hybrid Soldier2011-11-03 07:45:57
The lossless version came from a (great) French digital store named Qobuz...

No CD... :)

Areozz2011-11-03 13:53:19
Obviously, you must not be a true fan of lossless if you don't know what APE is. In fact, I don't even know what level of lossless it is, but we do have this thing called Google where you can look up and find information all on your own. You should try it out.

//////2011-11-03 22:25:52
What is this Google you speak of?

I kid. Sometimes it's just easier for someone to explain it to you rather than read it word for word off the internet. I assume your know what your talking about, so I thought I'd ask you and you could explain it to me, is all.

I'm not a fan of lossless, because iTunes isn't. I always make sure I download something in 320, if it's available. If not, the highest bitrate available. Plus, FLAC (if it were even compatible with iTunes) would take up a massive amount of space, which is everything. You can never have enough of it

Evenstar2011-11-03 22:47:40
I prefer FLAC.

Areozz2011-11-03 23:39:24
Now, I was told recently that FLAC is actually one of the smallest lossless formats available. It takes up some massive percentage LESS of space compared to something like WAV. WAV files--now those are huge.

And, yeah, I don't really know what I'm talking about. I don't know what APE is or how it compares to other file types. I really only prefer mp3, unless I'm doing an edit of a source. Then I try to find as high of lossless quality possible which is usually WAV if I have the music disc myself, or FLAC if I pull it off the internet. Quality is everything to some people.

I really do think that FLAC is preferred over WAV because it takes up a whole lot less space but still has around the same quality as WAV. My ears are not that fine-tuned though. As long as the music doesn't sound like it was ripped from a 4-year-old YouTube video (you know, wobbly and full of static and crappy YouTube reducing the original quality), then I'm happy.

Per2011-11-04 11:06:20
"...but still has around the same quality as WAV."

It doesn't just have "around" the same quality as WAV, it has EXACTLY the same quality as WAV !

Areozz2011-11-04 13:28:16
Yep, thanks for clarifying on that. I was almost positive that WAV and FLAC are identical in quality, but I didn't want it to sound absolute in case there was someone here to say that was totally untrue. It seems these 'audiophiles' sometimes get into heated debates about what quality is best and why all the others suck so much.

hi there ..
i have some information about this music
all my respect to Steve Jablonsky , music of transforms not by Jablonsky because he stolen hans zimmer's music for example the dark knight and inception and where is hans zimmer in this new movie , when i listen to transformers music i remember hans music .. and WHERE ARE YOU HANS ZIMMER WHY YOU AGREE THIS ?????

Mr. Fate2011-10-23 20:54:05
Hey genius: you do know that a lot of the really big RCP scores are worked on by a lot of composers, right? Sure, Hans Zimmer is the head of everything but a lot of times, the people who work under him write music that sounds like his so that a single score for a movie sounds uniform. Steve Jablonsky's work could either sound like Hans Zimmer's because he's trying to make it sound like it does, OR Hans Zimmer himself just wrote it.

and then? listening to music with annoying sfx. yay!

Mr. Fate2011-09-24 15:39:44
Evenstar is right. It doesn't matter whether you rip the score in HQ or HD or any kind of quality. It'll still have all the SFX that come with any Transformers/Michael Bay movie.

Agnt007dman2011-09-24 16:43:10
Like Snake's rip of Revenge of the Fallen. More SFX than the movie, swear to God. I don;t know how, but there is

theeaglesfan0052011-09-25 03:13:03
would be nice if the score is on a separate audio channel/track like X-Men: First Class was :)

Papapalpatine772011-09-25 03:44:21
Right? Why can't every movie come like that? That was a treat when we got that with the Alien Anthology when it was released on Blu-ray last October

It sickens me that these people do not share, why should anyone be denied the music? if you have it we should all have it. and if you cannot share because you might "lose your job" (which is also bull) then keep your goddam mouth shut and dont tell anyone it exists.

MacDawson2011-09-15 19:42:55
I wish someone would just share this. But above all, i wish all this discussion was indeed useless, not because it won't be shared, but because the full score had been published and all this discussion was useless. When will the studios realise people want these full scores?. I've said before, if they're not willing to spend money pressing and distributing CDs they might or might not sell, put them up on the web. The cost of thet would be minimal, fans would get their fix and the composers would get a few more bucks for their work.

Takehiro2011-09-15 23:21:11
Well said, Mac. Some kind of digital distribution would be great, offer MP3 and FLAC and printable artwork.

Agnt007dman2011-09-16 06:31:52
Sean, they are what we refer to as "the elites". They are in the industry or are friends with people in the industry and receive copies. Simple as that.

Bar2011-09-17 13:56:18
So why can't they just give it to the public?

SJ2011-09-17 14:24:14
cause they have too much pride in having rare music. They don't want to give up that pride, it's all they've got.
