@Adrian Thanks. I found it, and i like both covers of the soundtrack, so even if the one i buy is the one with the skull, it's okay because a diffferent soundtrack cover is nice to see for a change :) .
@Adrian Could you post the whole link to it ?. I tried to highlight the link, and then i right clicked it, to use a webrowser to to get to it, and it didn't work, because the whole website link was not there.
Only 33 days for the movie to come out!!!! And 32 FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! I can't wait to listen the soundtracks!!!!Τhey are AMAZING!!! Τα κατεβάζω στο κινητό τηλέφωνό μου και τα ακούω με ακουστικά. Ακούγονται ΤΕΛΕΙΑ!!
I know by the use of Spanish guitars and trumpets theyre going for a Spanish-styled score (if not simply a subtheme by itself apart from the main themes, of course). All I'm saying is if Zimmer uses it in the main theme it's gonna be a completely different sound than what we've been used to, I'm thinking.
A subtheme sounds like the better bet, but considering the Fountain of Youth has always been a Spanish tale, like Michael mentioned earlier the theme of the Fountain may take precedence over the film as a main theme in which case yer lookin at trumpets a blazin in this score, which right now reminds me of Rango and the Mexican...
I know Zimmer isn't gonna cop out on his previous themes as before, so we'll see what he does. for all I know he's probably intending its use ala the Sinagpore theme in part 3 - it didn't cover the whole score. All I'm saying is we never had solo trumpets in the previous versions, so I'm hoping he doesn't go balls-out with its use throughout the score.
And i dont see why people come on here to get upset about the ones who offer "complaints". If it wasn't for these so called whiners, we wouldnt be having much of a conversation and we'd all sittin around waiting....So at least we got something to talk about while we wait.
Well, by the musicians he is gathering for this score it sounds like he's going for a Spanish-styled theme (or subtheme, perhaps), and thats not very far away from your standard Mexican theme...
Don't see what's wrong with the trumpet. It's a great instrument. Combined with the spanish guitars and some classy Zimmer themes it will sound great (as it always does).
I don't think Hans Zimer would go to far with the Trumpets in Pirates 4's music. I don't think he would would over do it with this movies soundtrack (the music) . Plus, Rango and Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger tides are two different movies, so i'm sure it'll turn out just fine. I doubt that any of the songs would sound the same, when comparing Pirates 4 and Rango's music.
yes..trumpets my good man....I have no idea....The only reason I can think of is because of the whole Spanish Conquistador angle regarding the Fountain of Youth, which was (correct me if im wrong) linked up with the adventures of Ponce de Leon in the 1600s in Florida....
Funny thing is I pictured Floridian Native Indians (Seminoles) being in the score mix and not so much pirates and spaniards, but whatever...Based on where the fountain of youth is supposedly located is inland Florida...aka the Everglades......if anyone's ever tasted Everglades water it is fairly sweet.....which is probably where the legend began.
At any rate, I just hope Zimmer doesnt get too bombastic with the trumpets...This isnt Rango....
@karloff Hmmmm, Trumpets you say ?, that sounds pretty intense for Pirates of the Caribbean music, wouldn't you say so ? . It'll be interest to hear what the music will sound like, and what it will be like overall ! . At least we don't have to wait too long for the soundtrack to come out, considering it comes out on May 17th in about a month from now. Do you have any guesses on what the titles of the songs with be on the Pirates 4 soundtrack ? , i bet they will be some interesting titles for each of them on there. Also, i wonder how many songs with be on there.
Aint dat always da way tho? Expected released date of CD is already known, but because tracklist always finds its way online early people get it in their heads there's an actual "tracklisting release date". No...Sorry...If there is one, it's a private company affair and doesn't correspond with anyone else...In oder words - they release it when they release it.
So jus chill....thats always da best medicine. Besides, I heard this new score gonna have TRUMPET in it now....Trumpet? Ehhh.......What the hell, man!
I still don't see the problem. Come on guys, Hans Zimmer and Pirates of the Caribbean standing together... it is proved to be a great combination.. so it will sound awesome no matter what instrument he uses and combines.
Yeah, no trumpets please, that would be downright insulting. Y'know what, let's not have any traditional live instruments at all, just to make sure. Just have a rock band perform the whole thing. Jesus H. Christ.
You guys should realise that trumpets actually BELONG in a real pirate score. Maybe that's what Hans is aiming for, a more traditional swashbuckling score.
By the way... where is the confirmation of the trumpets being used, you worry about? And it won't be the main theme I think. Spain is a small theme in the story. Queen Anne's Revenge Blackbeard, Jack & Angelica), England (Barbossa & King George) and Spain (King Ferdinand & The Spaniard) hunt the Fountain. I assume you'll only hear the Spanish theme(s) and sounds when Spain is on screen and it's characters are interacting with the other characters. I figure the main theme will be the one of the Fountain since that's the thing driving the story. Like the Love theme in At World's End was THE main theme for the journey too. Ah well.. we'll hear soon enough. Don't worry.
@Michael Yes, Hans Zimmer certainy does seem to be a great combination, meaning Hans Zimmer and the Pirates of the Caribbean music he's done with Pirates 1, 2 and 3, and also likely will be good with Pirates 4's music as well.
First the tracklisting, then the track samples, then the cd itself, then before you know it comes the incessant clamoring for bootleg/DVD ripped copies of the score, or for Zimmer to release his own Expanded edition/exclusive tracks sold on Itunes...One thing leads to another. lol
It never ends, so you might as well just wait it out, man. Seriously. Take my advice and enjoy Rango and Your Highness, which Im doing now. Your Higness especially - it's comparable with the Pirates score because it's so jaunty at times. Cheers.
@Franko I like listening to the music only from the soundtrack on cd, i don't use bootleg dvds, dvd ripped copies of the score, or the expanded edition/exclusive tracks, or itunes, etc. I know that the soundtrack of Pirates 4 comes out May 17th, so i am okay with waiting it out for it to be released, but it would be nice to see what the names of the songs are on the soundtrack tracklisting from it at least. Honestly, what you said about the Pirates music, compare to the Rango movie, and Your Highness, the Pirates of the Caribbean music is the best one, meaning the music from all three movies, and i'm sure it will be very very good music in Pirates 4 as well.
