wtf is this? did zimmer score a porno?why hybrid when lorne himself confirmed it? <.<@Hybrid, can you confirm Lorne is scoring MI6?I feel like the only way I could be excited about this would be if they adopted the sound of M:I-2, which I find very unlikely. Primarily because the sound is very dated, but also because Fallout is likely to be a more serious movie than II ever will be. Still, I'm cautiously optimistic, especially if it was true that he did the trailer music.

And it was Rogue Nation that Kraemer worked on, not Ghost Protocol. It's sort of been implied here before that Lorne Balfe worked on the "Bumblebee" suite... Is that correct (as far as anybody knows, at least)?
Both scores are absolutely masterpieces, personally I prefer the second one. Outstanding.
This story deserves a perfect close also musically.I think we may be surprised with this one, guys. Tom Cruise and JJ Abrams both are into melodic sounding scores, amd when Lorne is allowed to go all out melodic on us he creates perfection (ie: LEGO Batman, Home, parts of Geostorm, his contributions to kung fu panda and Sherlock)... I do hope he has somewhat of a throwback sound from it, but I also want that signature RCP sound too! Not gonna lie this is good news for me.I'm sure the Balfe brigade will still find some way to tar and feather me for this, but I think he could do a decent job here. After all, you can't just write a generic action score for Mission Impossible. It has to have that throwback espionage feel, the suaveness, the sense of cool, and I think Balfe will do okay with that - look at Penguins of Madagascar. I just hope he gets to use a real orchestra for once (no excuse not to on a film of this type and size), and that he doesn't ignore Lalo Schifrin's theme.

I'd still rather have had Kraemer back considering the excellent job he did on Ghost Protocol (and the fact he never gets any assignments otherwise) but Balfe could do well here.Damn I was hoping Zimmer, Giacchino or Kraemer would do this.Ha ha! Yes again and again ! This is excellent news
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not Balfe again and again and again :(Hey, everybody!
Did you hear the news?
Check this out:
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=962210980613161& id=138474459653488Yes and no.

If we take into account that King Arthur is reminiscent of Crimson Tide, The Rock, The Peacemaker and Backdraft his contributions also pale because it is fair to say that King Arthur were based with the music of these films. There's a video on YouTube. The video shows Howard Shore writing and conducting the music for the orchestra. The video also shows Howard Shore and Peter Jackson talking about the score. After that, Peter Jackson rejected the score writing one statement about that saying Howard and he discuss about the music many times, Howard recorded many cues but in the process Peter he wasn´t satisfied about the music. That thing created many discussions, they could not agree in terms of music so Peter fired Howard after that saying he prefered keep Howard as a friend. And then the hobbit came and the rest, well, the relation was not the same.

So there's like 50 to 70% percent of the music recorded by Howard Shore. He didn't finish the recordings, so, yes, there's a rejected score recorded. And then, James came aboard.Of course he's involved !
Finally some news about this movie! I really hope Powell is involved because his scores for the first two moves are fantastic. I love them so much.Well "Prime" for TF2 is part of the main theme "Knights March" from King Arthur which Jablonsky co-composed so I really don't have a problem with a lot of the temps from King Arthur in Transformers. Specifically because Jablonsky did a lot of the main tracks for that score.Yeah, specially the "Prime" track from Transformers 2Some of Transformers was temped from King Arthur.Thank you :D
indeed, Bumblebee has the same vibe with the orchestral and guitar sound, and I guess GoT was temp too

I just wanted to say that Hans Zimmer is the most incredibly talented and amazingly stunning composer that I have ever, ever, ever heard before in my life. I have just about finished writing my first novel and I could just about credit the entire thing to Hans as every time I lost the plot (both my mind and the story) I would turn his music on, sit with my eyes closed and let anything at all come to me and everytime without fail, his music inspired something new and creative in my mind. THANK YOU HANS ZIMMER!

Hi,
I'm looking for a web site of Rupert Gregson-Williams. Unfortunately he hasn't any one. So I try my request here. I am looking desperately for Piano Sheet Music of "Jack and the Beanstalk", main theme/ harp song. Unfortunately, I can get it anywhere. So you’re my last hope. Would you be so kind to pass on my request to Rupert Gregson-Williams? I hope you have a heart for a fan. Best wishes from Cologne, Germany. Bettina

To the greatest man that the earth has brought,
If somebody ask me to choose one book, i could'nt. If somebody ask me to choose one movie, i could'nt too.
But if somebody ask me to choose a music man, i'll choose, without any doubt, you.
Since I'm able to walk, my life is rocked by the soundtracks of movies to which you contributed.
Today, not a day passes without some music invented by you do not resound in my ears.
I only want to say you "thank you very much" for these moments full of emotions.
I hope your time will be infinite, and your magnificence, incomparable.

Hallo Mr.Zimmer...I do not know if you will ever read my mail, but i wanted to write it for you...I am i 18 Greek boy and i always admired your music-scores and in general all film scores...I have already finished my music studies with an A degree in piano studies, and i also compose my own orchestral scores. People in my country, teachers everywhere in greece say that i am really good, almost a genius...I never believed them. I mean i know I have some perfect fresh ideas and i know that i am composing for a huge orchestra even though noone tought me how(i studies only music harmony and chorus composition)...And if even i believed them, how can I in this country show my talent? Plenty of music sheets, My 'Rhapsody for a dream' for a huge orchestra, chorus and piano, my piano studies, soundtracks for films and whole new ideas which i do not write them, beacause like the others will end up on my desk waiting to be played for ages...And i speak to you Mr.Zimmer beacause i do not know to whom i may speak...Who can advise me what to do??...you are one of my music idols, talented, successfull, your dream is complete! When will my dream come true?! I know you are to busy to meddle with problems like my one...but you could help me. And remember how much i want to make this dream a reality but i can not alone...Thanks Mr.Zimmer if you read this...or any other reader...And if you could help in someway please contact me...my email address is www.vasilis_al@yahoo.gr...

Hello Mr Zimmer.

If I could write to Bach and Vavaldi to say thank you for the music, I would. But I can't. They're dead. You're not. Thank you Mr Zimmer.

Mr Zimmer, Thanks for another lovely soundtrack- The PACIFIC. I am part of a foundation doing preservation work on the Peleliu battlefield and your Peleliu cuts are eerie, haunting, and somehow capture
an essence of the place. Now I listen to the CD for accompaniment to some of my work, and some
inspiration for the efforts. Music is very powerful, one cannot ever underestimate how it can have an
affect things, such as a project to preserve a battlefield where so many died. This is a very symphonic,
sublime, deep, and contemplative effort by your team. I will no doubt hear it in my mind's ear when I am there, on island, later this year. Bravo.

Hi!

You guys are doing a great job covering the main topics of a brilliant composer. Thank you. There is one big thing I miss tho on this page and it's the Hans Zimmer "gear" list. What kinda hardware and software does he use for his midi mock-ups and so forth? And what could he recommend for aspiring composers to use? That would be a great additional to this page! Until then keep on brining the good stuff... :)

Cheers,
Mats from Norway.

Hey Mr. Zimmer,
My name is Garrett and I am a huge fan of your work. Your music inspires me to say the least and it would absolutly be incredible if you were able to read this in your very limited spare time. I'm a 15 year old highschool student and it would mean so much to see your written score for At Wit's End on the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest soundtract. I have written some short pieces of music and am in the middle of writing a choral. It has been my dream to arrange some of your briliant pieces for band. I play the trumpet in school at the moment and am also taking music lessons for piano. I don't want to give you my life story here but if you had a couple of minutes out of your day to email me a response or anything I would be ecstatic. My email is: garrett626@hotmail.com.
Thx for your time Mr. Zimmer,
Garrett

Right now I`m searching for the sheet music of discombobulate and hope I`m gonna find it.
Well, keep on with this great work and I hope you`ll win an oscar!

Hello Mr Zimmer
After over 3 years of searching for the sheet music notation to your score 'injection' which I find to be a beautiful & moving piece of music.

I'm on the verge of giving up looking & I found what I can only call a tiny spark of hope in this last request, in that somehow, someday, you might read this & bless me with the notation to the masterpiece.

The reason I am asking is purely for the purposes of looking in to your way of thinking & artistry in hope that some day (with my present limited composing skills) I can be in league with you & know what it feels like to bless the world with the gift such as which you possess.

My email is:

I would be forever in your debt if you could just bless me with my strongest desire to view your work on paper.

Thank you for your time

Looking forward to your next work very much

I would dearly love to see the entire score of Batman Begins performed live! I bought the CD after watching the movie several times. I can see the orchestra in my head..every violin..horn..drums..it is the Rachmananoff of movie sound tracks! I love it!
Any chance of a live concert of this anywhere, anytime? I live in Asheville, North Carolina..USA so going to Belgium is not an option. It is on my 'bucket list'..many thanks for a reply.
