Well now, when you heard the whole soundtrack, you can CLEARLY distinguish whose track they belong to, and it's really exciting because it is that obvious.<br><br>So John Powell did:<br>-1. I Remember Everything<br>-3. Converging In Athens<br>-5. A Key To The Past<br>-6. Berlin<br>-9. Paddington Plaza<br>-11. Las Vegas<br>-15. Let Me Think About It<br><br>Powell's tracks diffirentiate themselves by having much more organic mixing, better writing, and when it comes to electronic sound, it has this "whole, full, and crisp" quality to it and it is good, THOUGH not much new material ( i think the one heard in Athens, is something new)<br><br>WHILE Buckley, on the other hand, he basically put his "watermark" with his two high-ascending string notes, which is tiresome, THOUGH he supplies a lot of variations of Powell's theme, it feels generic, boring, the mixing is hollow, and the electronic is that Generic awfull thing we are deared to acknowledge as RCP's sound. ( Yes, Powell WAS from RCP, i get it,but, so was Lincoln from Republican :P)<br><br>BUT ANYHOW, sadly, this soundtrack can't hold its candle to SUPREMACY and ULTIMATUM, no Tangiers, no Goa. But it's not disappointing, because you know what it is. And it's such a grace to having a new Powell score in these kind of days.Last August, to be exact :)Yep a while back actually ! I almost forgot about it ! :PHad it been announced previously? Totally missed that!Well, I knew it all along, so... ;)

Hey Hybrid, what's with some be Complete Score Sites here:)Right, he has, but I guess Lorne has done it so much in his own stuff (and Hans has, in some ways, backed off from that approach a just a bit) that now it sounds more Lorne-like than Hans-like when I hear it. Especially in the Volvo thing. If Hybrid were to say Lorne co-wrote that, I'd believe it wholeheartedly.Hans has been doing that since The Thin Red Line!Don't wait for a release. Not to be a spoil-sport, but it won't happen. What they gave us is what we're getting. That said, so many fans have recreated the film version that we can all be satisfied, really.<br><br>Now if only fans would do a solid edit of "Batman Chased"... still waiting for that one, 4 years on... lolSo this just hit me...the first 40 or so seconds of the full Harvey Dent suite are basically HZ's two-note Batman theme, in JNH French horn style. <br><br>It's a tragedy the full suite wasn't what we got on album. Beautiful stuff. I do feel like TDKR was missing a bit of its heart without JNH, to this day. HZ's "Dark Knight" theme has its own kind of beauty, but JNH has a special touch, you know?
It was in a cue list that got leaked.Because they made dozens of versions of it and Hans' final one is the one released on the OST.<br><br>The film version was assembled by music editors with stems of other cues at the very last minute.Has anyone ever explain why the movie version of "No Time For Caution" is not in any commercial album?<br><br>I am still waiting for a future release.i think hans started the approach (da vinci code did it too) and then lorne learned how to do it and now does it a lot himself. remember too hans was a producer on 13 hours and terminator, so maybe he suggested that approach to lorne, and then lorne suggested it to him right back for the volvo stuff.Something I've been wondering, and maybe Hybrid has an answer... Both Hans and Lorne have done the "take 2 to 4 notes and make a crescendo for three minutes" out of it. Hans did it in "A Dark Knight" and "Time," while Lorne did it in Terminator Genisys and 13 Hours. <br><br>Hans did it again for the Volvo campaign prologue, and Lorne was producer here. So my question is, who's "guiding" this style? Is it more Hans or more Lorne influencing Hans? Just something I've wondered.

Hey, I've been trying to get the music from the Nokia trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. Is there a place I can buy the actual song? I found audio on YouTube that was cleaned up from the trailer... But a good bit-rate version of it will be great. If it hasn't been released yet, are there any plans on releasing it? Based on my experience while searching the internet, there are quite a lot of people who'd love it! Thanks!

I once again heard some of Mr. Zimmer's work and once again I just felt the need to hug that man I've never met and thank him for making my small slice of the world such a better place for a while.

Nothing makes much sense, but the beauty of music like his is such a pure and simple pleasure I fell it has to be point of Everything.

As a long-time fan, I just wanted to thank Hans and his whole team for the experience last Saturday at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. It was a real thrill for me to see the enthusiasm and joy with which your orchestra played, and to hear some of my favourite tracks live. And I think it paid off - not only have I queued up a number of additional soundtracks to buy from you, but my wife seems to have become almost as much a fan as I.

I'm really looking forward to the release of the event on DVD/Blu-Ray/CD, if that's the plan - I certainly hope it is! In the meantime, thanks again, and keep doing what you're doing.

Guten Tag! I'd like to use one of your pieces from the second Pirates of the Caribbean, "The Kraken." With your permission of course, I plan to use the song for a stop-motion/animation short film myself and others are producing. It would be an honor to use a masterpiece of yours in the film. Could you give me the contract info on how to use it, or where I could find the copyright infringement policies. I really appreciate it!! Thank you!! Ethan

Hello mr. Zimmer. I have a little question.
Your composition, named "Hello Beastie" from Pirates of the Carribean 2 soundtrack is just fascinating. I bought all Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest score to get this awesome piece of music.
So, the point is: can i use this composition in video, witch goes to the Valve's Saxxy contest? Is it legal according to the copyright laws? This should be a dramma short. No forbidden scenes will be in this video. This is the link to the site of this contest:(sourcefilmmaker.com/saxxyawards2014/guidelines/)As you can see, there is absolutely no any commercial profit from your misic for me or anybody. Whall contest and program, that i use to create the short (Source Filmmaker) are completely free. Shure there will be reference in titers that this exelent piece of music is completely your creation and i'm just using it to create the mood.
If the answer is negative and i can not use your masterpiece, then i shure will not. But the is mention in contest rules that i need creator permission to use the score.
Sorry for my bad english and thank you for your attention.

Mike, do you think a white swan would be better suited for him? (just kidding)The swan has nothing to do with mr. Zimmer.

I agree. Loreen has very clean tessitura at high notes, perfect for an epic score with acoustic or orchestral music

Hello guys! I discovered your site few days ago and I have to admit that is fabulous!! In the last year Hans Zimmer has became one of my favourite composer, his works are so inspirational, so emotional!!
I've recently watched Man of Steel (2013) and I have to say that the soundtrack is really amazing!!
I've listened to the full deluxe edition of the soundtrack (wooow!!) but I could not find a track that simply blow my mind. The problem is that the song only plays for about 10 seconds, so it's difficult to recognize it! I need your help!!
Here is a link with the scene that contains that song...if you know the title let me know!!

Thanks for all the work you have done and you are keep doing!!
Best regards

I love Hans Zimmer. No questions asked. But something has bothered me for the past year or so. this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PA376MhE2PI is more or less exactly like Time from inception. I mean a few things were changed but still the same piece. That cd was released way before Inception ever came out. What happened there, I have always wondered

Anonymous2014-06-18 00:33:58
According to numerous sites it looks like the CD was released in 2011 (a year after Inception), but in any case it sounds really similar to Time. .)

Carolina2014-07-06 10:20:57
I see... Well thank you. For some unknown reason I believed Inception came out in 2012, I did not even bother to look it up. It was just stuck in my brain that it was. I appreciate this. :)
