As usual, very nice music... very, very influenced (Rallye for exemple... smilie )
My favourite is Price of Peace, 00:35 is a very beautiful and peaceful moment !

The rallye cue sounds pretty good but in my opinion is a little bit too much of a "medley". The mood changes a lot but also the instrumentation. If the orchestration stayed the same with only slight changes it would work better .
Here you have a main theme at the beginning, followed by a suspens action cue at 25 s, these sections work.
Another change at 56 which works also, then you have the pirates of the carribbean thing at 1:30 which sounds good on its own but doesnt fit the mood of the cue to me . Then after the POTC thing you suddenly have a guitar playing. In overall the mood changes are not very fluid enough smilie

But very good job i repeat !!

guizmox: Thank you! Yeah, Rallye is (especially the main theme) very influenced by Gladiator (choir progression) and CoD: MW2.
johncarter: Thanks - it`s a medley from different tracks, but you`re right. I have to be more careful about joining different tempos and different moods (and orchestrations) together. :-)

I knew Price of Peace already but again I liked it A LOT. You did some changes to it didn't you? It's even better than the last time I've heard it.
Also, I enjoyed the middle and final part of Ralley. Nice guitar.
Perfect work.

Thank you! It`s great to hear that my music isn`t absolutely terrible (especially now - when I don`t have any movie to score even if I`m composing for free). smilie

Yes, it`s a different version (more horns and faster tempo).

Thanks smilie
it`s a medley, that`s why it isn`t very homogenous.

EDIT: And here is an example of my music together with a movie:

http://vimeo.com/9019841

Another track:

On the Bridge (medley)

It`s from a short movie about one person who wants to kill herself and another who talks her out of it by a phone. Sometimes very minimalistic, sometimes sad and sometimes even happy (happy-end smilie ).
The score was composed in 4 hours (the movie has about 7 minutes of music).

Hey Prott,

Nice work, it is already very good! Strong writing, and the samples already sound well. But I think you should invest more time in the producing/mixing end of your pieces. Try to do more with dynamics and panning for example. I want to hear the bass (mainly) in my right ear, and the violins (mainly) in my left ear, etc, etc. Also try to get in some crescendo's and decrescendo's instead of pounding very hard all the time smilie. It makes the parts with volume more intense, at least that is my experience.
I hope you can do something with this! It is not that I dislike your pieces, in the contrary, it is just that I try to help you get better with composing, and the only way to do that is by giving critique, I hope you can listen to some of my pieces too, and give some comments, I'd really appreciate that!

Greetz,

Hugo

And there`s another suite (basically it`s just developement of one single theme) from a score composed to a short movie:

Turning Point

The goal was to make a dramatic and grim score (combination of more "classical" orchestra+piano and 90`s synth orchestra sound).
Thanks for listening (or reading).

New movie (Price of Peace) added.

benjaz: Thank you, I`m using same instruments in all my tracks (a mix of EWQL SO, Stormdrum and a few free and/or custom made sample libraries).

Another update:
Modern WarGear Solid (a Metal Gear Solid / Modern Warfare parody) - Part 3:

YouTube link

The whole 6 minutes long soundtrack was composed practically in one day, so it`s nothing too experimental. Just pure action stuff. smilie
